You have a QA team to test patches on a test server. Having a user base as a "QA team" is nothing but a huge group of people complaining they don't like the new content, fixes, patches.

People use it as "look at the new content I get access to first!"
People use it as "this updates suck!"
People use it as "why isn't this live yet?!"
People use it as "let me post screenshots of all the new content!"

What people should be using it as, "hey X is broken when I do Z".
