I don't think something like this is needed for the first coil, what with echo and all, but maybe for the second coil and future releases? It's not like we don't already have some content with multiple difficulty levels, and if the 'Easy mode' didn't have weekly lock-out, it would encourage people to practice, so at least when they actually got to a normal mode run of the same content, they'd have a decent idea of how to handle it.
