They want it for story - then give them the cutscene for free
They want it for loot and story - do the normal version
It's too hard - when subs start suffering terribly, SE will nerf it
They want to experience the story in an FF game?! What a bunch of entitled bitches! Acting like they had to pay to get this game and shit, the nerve.

Again, no loot then wtf do these people gain over someone who runs Coil normal. As you all said, Coil is all ready easy. Sooo if some players can't clear the content to see the story, how the hell does them sacrificing equipment and currency make this a huge benefit to them? If someone would want to run any dungeon for absolutely no loot, go for it. Not my thing but if some story die-heads want to see it that bad it isn't going to somehow break my game mechanics.

As an added bonus it gives new or more casual players a way to train in content without having assholes breathing down their neck or having people leave a practice group after a wipe. Which means if anyone is doing it in DF, there is 0 reason for someone to NOT KNOW the mechanics in Coil should a story mode be introduced. Practice to your hearts content without forcing the rest of the DF group to learn with you.

I've said this many times already, Coil isn't main story. Did you do Shinryuu in FFV? How about the Weapons in VII? Ozma in IX? If they were too hard for you to beat, you just didn't beat them and lost out on that "story". Why would Coil be any different. You can see the MAIN story of the game without even so much at wink at Coil.

Aside: I don't mean "you" personally, but as a general statement

Love the "I PAY MY SUB" argument.

You pay to play the game. If your online your playing. You do not play for god mode cheats so you can beat everything you feel your entitled to beat. I think warp programs and such cost extra.

A Veteran MMO gamer knows that the experience of the game is stretched out over years, and if crafted properly, it leaves players with some of the best gaming experiences to be found anywhere.
