How about... an easy mode Coil?

Can anyone come up with a good reason why you guys are so hard up about having a Story Mode Coil, for the sake of players enjoying the story line, in game?

Every of the primals have their own story mode. With the exception of the initial 3 HM Primals which drop weapons and Moogle, all the new story mode primals offers no rewards at all.

What is the damn good reason that players can't have a Story Mode Coil which offers absolutely no reward, just to let players experience the story part of FF14 itself?

Those who want to get the challenge and the gear can proceed with the regular version.

Those who are against Story Mode coil, why do I not see threads about Story Mode primals?


No shit, don't give about how easy T5 is right now with echo etc etc, I'm referring to Story Mode with no rewards. Just like your Levi/Ramuh story mode - players get to see what Levi and Ramuh story is all about. I think it is about right that players get to know it in game too rather than through a recorded youtube video.

The way I read all these responses, I frown upon how huge people think their e-peen is, how bad ass they beat T5 and whatever... I beat T9 weeks ago in Patch 2.2, had my IL110 gear set way before people go gaga over hunts and unlimited sands/oil... but so? Like I said, let everyone have their story stuff in story mode - those who are up for the challenge can proceed with the usual stuff.

They already said they will not make first coil easier. Period. They said it. Sorry to disappoint but it doesnt get much easier than it already is. As people have said, there's groups that 4-5 man T5 coil now because of how simple it is. If you can't beat coil with how simple it is now, you might consider a different game.

Edit: 80% of the server can pass T5. Not the other way around. 80%+ I would say at this point. If you can't beat T5 with i110 gear so easy to get (just have to put the time into hunting) than you will NEVER beat the SCoB turns because they are all about mechanics....

I actually find T6 to be easier than T5 in a lot of ways. The only insta-death mechanic in T6 simply requires you to disengage and not touch your controls lol.

Also, and I know most people won't be honest about this either. How many people have beaten T5 (before echo) without the use of the Twintania App (which clearly indicates death sentence, and makes avoiding Dive-bombs and Twisters much easier ? ) ? Most people won't be honest about answering this - I can guarantee you that lol...

Yes there is - most people bragging about how easily they beat T5 will never *ever* admit to using it though. Look up a YouTube video of what this app actual does in-fight, and you'll see how much easier it makes the fight.

Indeed... But still TS or skype call can do the same effect kinda - though with enough practice you should be able to look up focus target yourself...
I admit that twin was hard when people did it with ilvl82 or lower, without echo. It required a skill... 20% echo simply requires you to dodge stuff that will instantly kill you and know how to play your class (though now 1 good healer can make up for another not so good one). I mean... If you have enough gear, nowadays even divebombs will not one shot you unless you hit the wall or you get unlucky enough to get mark above your head after getting hit outside the formation... Though 1 dead person still is better than dead party

Honestly? I can say I have, I don't condone the use of such apps. And I agree that players who claim their titles of being some of the best and using this app are really just fooling themselves.

I don't like these apps, I haven't used one and will never use one. I did manage to beat T5 the day before the echo was implemented.

What does this app do? We've cleared T5 w/o apps since all you have to do is look at markers/cast bars. I myself always do callouts in mumble tho (be it T5, T6, or T7).

If you've played WoW, it's like Deadlybossmods.

I've watched streams of people using it and it's super annoying. It's like a robotic woman's voice calling out when the next major skill is coming up.
