Why? The gear is outdated, Alot of the Myth gear is better, which you can pretty much gear out in couple of hours doing hunts, Sure the T5 weapon isnt bad,

T1-4 are a joke now! Just for fun, last week i qued for 1,2 and 4... Got T4, Instant 7k hp as a brd (i109 from hunts!) In between phases i was /dance.... Everything just died so fast, T1-4 does not need any more adjustments, T5 just needs people with abit more brains and less /ragequit

like I enjoyed the x primals but then when you have others that don't move out of the way or you know that 1 second lag spike then people bail out it just becomes a total waste of time (for me) I have spent countless hours learning them and 5 months ago I said to hell with it and quit the game due to FC being Dix and people being rude. I came back and started to find more content that they added and started to focus on my tank classes more so that when I get groups I can enjoy it and not be rude to others as they were to me.

p.s. the only type of FC's I see recruiting are ADD teenagers that have ego trips, Im 37 years old and don't have time to baby sit the angry kids. Though I will say I made a toon on cactaur server for a bit and found the community to be very cool and friendly over there. Might have to do a server change soon.

We have Story mode, Hard mode, Extreme Mode, Savage Mode... 20% base echo, 50% max echo, +20 ilvls of new gear, various nerfs.... it's a step in the right direction but...

We want Extreme......ly Easy Mode! Make it happen SE! Crank easy up to 11 pls.

At the currently level of easy, I can only hold a drink in one hand. My other hand desperately needs to hold a frozen icecream treat. Make a game that can play itself so I can snack properly!

Are we really discussing turns 1-5 so seriously still? Granted, turn 5 is still a duty finder pain in the butt. But turns 1-4? I duty finder those to try and get my lion mount on paladin and find that they are still easy to beat with even the most motley crew. Everyone could be in reindeer costumes (weird stuff like this actually happens) and we still win... Yes there are groups that fall apart but, oddly the ones that do fall apart are usually the people that are geared full soldiery gear... lol Give me the nut in the reindeer costume and together we shall conquer eorzea!

Turn 5 should be so easy but really, people need to pay attention. If it wasn't turn 5, it would be turn 6. There is always going to be some part of the game where you actually have to turn off the tv and put down the hotpocket.

t5 with echo only has 3 "instant death" mechanics.
Twisters - simply pay attention to your and other people's path
Knocked into wall - stack better
Enrage - 13mins(IIRC?), if you're seeing it the grp has severe DPS problems

And I completely agree that it's a good thing the t5 mechanics can't be brute forced

"Alot" is not a word. Allot is but it's unlikely to be what you want, try "A lot".

I don't think anything should be changed at all. No I am not saying this from an elitist standpoint. As has been stated before, its already in easy mode, just get friends that wont rage quit or start a learning party in PF. Watch videos (there are many) because they are most helpful and study your roles. An easy mode is just going to send you into the real thing with a cocky attitude only to be smacked down again.

i like how almost every single person seems to think that the people who havent had a T5 down are just not putting any effort into it. for a lot of people, thats not true on NA servers. PF isnt used for practice, its used for clears and kills, no exceptions. DF is used for practice, but if no one ever wants to stay in the instance past 1 wipe, and sometimes even immediately disbands, there is no place to practice, so no one is ever able to learn the fight. youve either finished it, or you have almost no hope of getting past it. a lot of the people on jenova came from other worlds as alts, and they can do just fine, plenty of server firsts there, but the people that actually started here, you have to have a pretty generous and laid back FC, or be very lucky

In TERA they have an easy mode of the Queen fight that doesn't drop any serious loot and is / was used for practice, to go later to the HM (original) version of it. It was added later in the game and had, iirc, no one-shot mechanics but they could still k.o. you if you weren't well geared.
Might be not a bad idea to add something like that to here as well, because as we know, Echo buff doesn't really help people with the things they are wiping on. The increased health points, damage and healing is already done by better gear.

Whether they add that or not I'd recommend OP to make a PF group and add people to a LS that are willing to learn and clear it with you. It isn't really all that difficult.

You really love to brand people as "elitist". You have a terrible attitude to other players who can complete content. If you want easy stuff to complete, go pick up your nearest Dora the Explorer game or Hello Kitty if it's not too difficult. Why pay for a game that is going to be easy?

Your attitude at branding people as "elitist" simply because they can complete T5 is just horrible, and it's a horrible approach at this situation. Take out the idea of people wanting rewards, as in don't consider them a factor for people not wanting easy mode, and instead look at what lies ahead. Call me elitist here if you will, it will just further reinforce the ignorance you portray, but if a player can not successfully complete T5, what chances do they have in the second coil?

Before you, or anyone else goes on their little rant about "oh but it's everyone else holding me back. I can't get seven good players", well consider this quote:

“You run into an a**hole in the morning: you ran into an a**hole. You run into a**holes all day: you’re the a**hole.” – Raylan Givens
Except replace the word "a**hole" with whatever term(s) you want to signify a player who is not yet capable of completing T5. Since you seem to like branding people who can complete content, I will follow your suit and use the word "casuals" because like this, casuals clearly can't complete anything, so it then becomes:

“You run into a casual in the morning: you ran into a casual. You run into casuals all day: you’re the casual.” – Not Raylan Givens
If you're sick and tired of having a party of players who can't complete content, there is nothing to stop you, yes I mean you, from forming a party with players who are capable. Players have to leave before completing it? Not enough time? People need to disband? Well, I have the solution for you! Or, well...SE does. In just a few simple steps, you can add someone to your friends list! Not only that, but you have been provided with up to 8 spaces for linkshells on top of FC. Not enough? Get a pen and paper and write those names down! Book mark them on the lodestone if you have too. Stop pushing your problems onto other people and expecting them to take the hit because it's just a matter of learning. There are plenty of resources out there to learn from, it's the internet and it's pretty useful. There's an abundant of resources, google alone can point there out for you but there are already the forums (That's where you are right now), youtube, those famous FC websites (The obvious one being BG but don't take them as the be-all and end-all of this game). Gather your resources, study them at whatever pace you wish because you are paying for this game and you set your own pace, just don't expect everyone around you to play at the same pace as yourself so you got to either keep up or sit it out. Yeah, you are paying for this game but that's what you are buying into. That's what everyone here is buying into, myself included. Then, when you feel ready and capable, go and kill it.

You won't get good at something if you don't try, and simply coming on the forums and begging for it to be made easier, is not really trying.

This player actually makes a very fair and valid point. Just because they have not yet completed the content, doesn't ruin the validity of their comment. This player is in fact backing the idea of NOT making game content easy and this is something we should applaud and not belittle their opinion by making it seem worthless. This is a player who clearly wants the challenge. If we had more players like this, perhaps we wouldn't have had an echo buff implemented to begin with.

Yes! thank you! I love how threads and tons of posts of people dropping the term casual and they get removed and make threads of SE suspending them for using it, but it's all okay for self entitled people like the OP drop elitist when it's EQUALLY offensive and it's disgusting they're allowed to be vulgar in such aspects and see no justice against them.

Back to the main topic, this is probably the most constructive thing to give to a casual, yet they'll just auto dismiss it since the gear/content isn't in a shape of a welfare check (I see echo as food stamps). "I don't want to learn, this is just a game! I want free stuff, because I pay money a month for this!" insert any nonsensical self entitled quote that's a common stance from them and it's all laughably amusing. Everyone in someway shape or form pays a month for this game (fill in the blanks anyway you wish here). If you want to push completely asinine mentalities like, "I don't want to learn it's just a game, I already work hard, why should I work in this game" or anything like it, then why play an MMO? If your job is so "excruciatingly difficult" (don't play that contest with me on difficult jobs and time constraints) and you want to play a genre who has a track record of putting in effort and working together as a team... why are you here? It's funny, because this game prides itself on not that being that difficult, yet people still want it more condensed. It's so mindblowing that people push their personal life onto this game where they make excuses for themselves in being lazy. In real life or in game, if you're lazy, you better have a lot of connections, otherwise, you will get dropped: either fired, beaten up, or game wise kicked out. I don't want to see another potentially good MMO submit to the lazy and become a laughing stock like some of it's predecessors have. Take this player's advice and actually learn to give a care.
