Maybe you mixed T9 with T5, as T5 are pretty much unrelated to elite statics now
And T5 already in Easy mode with echo buff and will be moved into Super-Easy mode in 2.4

Coil turn 1-5 is already easy mode.
I farmed it for my alts numerous times. There is always someone camping the floor... You know, to make sure the floor doesn't run away. They have to hold it down, so we can complete the stage. Their role is important! Don't take it away from them!
I would fully support a turn 3 easy mode though. I fail at Sonic the hedgehog.

I am actually in for a Story Mode coil that is in conjunction with the actual version of the same tier of coil.
Especially in 2.4
I am pretty sure that for story/lore wise, we will transit to the expansion after 2.5 so both the main story and the coil story will certainly meant something.
I can beat the third coil within 2.4 itself like how I beat second coil within patch 2.2, but that doesn't mean that others may be able to beat it in "catch up patch" aka 2.3/2.5. Need not to say, once we transit to 3.0, 99% of the players wouldn't really give a shit to 3rd coil even if you put it in PF with echo because people will be all busy with the new content in expansion pack.
I don't think it is that difficult. I don't think coil story should be restricted to the so called "elite raiders". We have story mode for all the primals for every single player to enjoy the story, I don't see the reason why everyone isn't allowed to enjoy the coil story either. There is no harm in letting everyone, at least to enjoy the Final Fantasy story.

Only hard(ish) part of first coil is T5 but even then you can get to twisters without guides at least. Give it a few more goes and you'll have it.
even T4 is easy so long as people arent asleep :P

You're already playing the easy mode. You have to click off the echo to see the normal mode and you still have the benefit of i100-i110 gears to soften that.
This is endgame, you need to be able to learn mechanics and find 7 other people that are capable of the same.
It's also old content, it's very easy to look online and find info on every mechanic in the encounter.
What you want is youtube. If you don't want the satisfaction of clearing difficult content, watch a video.
This is the reason for the OP's suggestion. Practice Mode would give a player hands on experience.
I fully support the idea with one addition: you must complete all 5 turns on normal before you can unlock 2nd Coil.
But there is already a practice mode for Coil, or any other content in the game for that matter, it is called Party Finder. Put it on the list, write on it why you wanna do it and whats it for, then shout it. It's mostly culture and player mentality - practicing using Party Finder is not very common in NA servers. NA players just do not bother to do anything, they can't won't not going to read stuffs, they can't won't not going to do extra research, some are against watching video tutorials or reading some basic info of the mechanics. Anything that require some "efforts" to get better is generally shunned by the majority of NA players. ZERG KILL KILL KILL or it's not going to happen. I know I am generalizing but with DF, you often get the bad ones more so than the good ones. Most of the good dedicated ones would either make a static or ask their FC for help.
You can DF T5 with 20% buff and ilvl 110 gear from hunts that is an easy mode.
