I like the idea of the spiritbonding change but I feel like it needs better fine-tuning.

The example they gave stated that a level 49 ring would get reduced spiritbonding in LotA and Pharos. Correct me if I'm wrong, but both of these dungeons are "entry-level" dungeons when it comes to level 50 content (iirc their IL requirements are at 50 or pretty close to it). So why exactly is a level 49 ring deemed inappropriate gear for these dungeons? It sounds pretty close to being level appropriate to me. This is something they need to ease up on, I think, if that example is reflective of how the system works across the board. Sure, they might not be able to get in if all their gear was IL 49 and the dungeon required IL 50, but I thought that was why character IL was an average and not just "the lowest IL of all the gear you have equipped"; something that's a little bit under can be made up for via other slots.

I think another idea they should have considered would be to not gimp spiritbonding rates if it's a full premade group (which, due to the new addition of premade alliances, can also be applied to LotA/ST which are notorious for having blatant spiritbonders). The game obviously discerns between instances with parties that are premade and parties that have used the DF (you can replace people who leave in a DF party; you can't do so with people who leave a premade), and people shouldn't be punished for spiritbonding if that's specifically what they made the group for.

Do you really want an entire alliance wearing i45-49 stuff in ST? Honestly, I think this is a needed change.

I don't get why people don't just go spiritbond in the open world. It's easy and nobody has to carry you.

Because it's painfully slow compared to binding in a dungeon. Maybe if Square were to make spiritbinding less of a grind or at least bearable, we wouldn't have this issue.

Uh? I get together with 2-3 people in my FC and we can spiritbind a set in about 30 minutes. o.o

Maybe you're just going to the wrong places.

True. I just can't stand the thought of making a bunch of people carry me so I can SB.

I can do that on my own time.
