Let's not cry wolf over this just yet. It sounds like spiritbonding speed will lower if, to put it simply, you're in the wrong place. However, it also sounds like it will increase from what it currently is if you're properly on level! This could mean that it may be easier to nab those Grade IV materia because spiritbonding i70+ gear will no longer take a stupidly long time.

Possibly. Hopefully. Meanwhile, there's a long list of "others" that involve Airship parts...is the Airship possibly being ninja'd in this patch?

No. they just made it so you could stop screwing over everyone you randomly partied with while you Spiritbond.

It's too late now to say be careful what you people wished for...because you just got it. Now everyone that hasn't gotten to that stage just got it bad now..

I think I'll just start jacking up my prices on materias now that it's harder to make them.

Materia isn't harder to make. it is now level correct to make. run some low to mid level fates to SB your gear for materia 1 and 2s, get atma parts at the same time. GC seal to turn in for i70 crafting mats to sell or make into i70 SB gear. seems like an all around win.
