I'm not doubting you, like I said earlier Im sick so a lot is just going straight over my head these last few days x_x I'd just like to know where it was said like that, especially since I wanted a white chocobo

It's from the item list in the patch notes. The 6 seeds split into 3 colors, 1 deepening hue and 1 lightening. On an RGB scale, it seems.

For example;

A bitter fruit found growing on the Rhotano Sea's Cieldalaes islands. While typically avoided by the five races, it is a favorite amongst chocobos, and is known to lighten the blue hues of their feathers.
