Well tbh the relic stuff has 'augmentations' that allow it to be dyed due to said augmentation. Never heard anything about the lightning event items being lore specifically undyable.

Someone else's outfit given to you for helping them.
Except that was a main part of that game, they said specifically for this one that if there was a storyline reason for it or it's look, it would -never- be dyeable. This is now being broken every patch.

True, but we must remember that FFXIV is SE's game and if they see that a rule is more profitable when overturned, they are most likely going to change it. Dye-able armor sets are becoming a big part of this game now too.
I personally don't mind it. It's not like I'm forced to dye everything. I have the freedom of choosing the original look or a custom look. Any game that offers more options is better than a game with fewer.

First off, source?
Secondly, what story point could possibly make something undyable? The only gear in the entire game I could see being undyable is GC specific gear. But otherwise EVERYTHING should be fare game.

It's been a while.
As for story points, one example they gave is dungeon gear being undyable due to having a story behind why it is the way it is and why it's there (which I've actually yet to see a story behind these). For lightning, it's a gift for helping her. Artifact, it's a historical piece of equipment used by a immensely famous person to the job it's for.
It would be along the lines of someone becoming pope, then decided they wanted to change all the clothes to neon green. (Though I doubt popes use the exact same clothes, in FFs case, artifact armor is the exact clothing used by the person)

Does it really matter? If you don't want to dye the gear you don't have to, but good on SE for giving us the option.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
My reaction while reading the elite B rank changes.
The respawn time of rank B elite marks has been changed to five seconds.
What?! Are they out of their minds now?!
The HP of rank B elite marks has been reduced so that they can be defeated by a single player.
*envisions a chaotic future, everyone standing around killing Bs over and over and over for quick seals, or even botting*
Oh god.
In conjunction with the above HP reduction, the minimum contribution required to complete elite mark bills has been lowered.
*reinforces said vision*
Rank B elite marks have been changed from aggressive to passive.
Huh.. why?
Rank B elite marks will no longer yield rewards upon defeat.
... ... ... ...Why did they leave this for the end?
*proceeds to feel stupid for overreacting*

Your whole post made me chuckle, but I watched Skogs spawn next to the Moonfire Faire questgiver then proceed to molest a few AFK folks. The same happened in Lower near the cannons. Probably a change for the better, at least for Bs which are now basically just flavor mobs - yet are still lv50 in possibly low level zones.

Wonder which items did they add and if any items got requirements higher than Exploration XIV.Items that can only be obtained by retainers who have attained a certain item level (Disciple of War or Magic) or gathering rating (Disciple of the Land) have been added to Quick Exploration.
Really hope Ixaly items will be buyable. Would be a slap in the face to not be able to do them after I did all the other beat-tribe quests. :S
