i need some clarifications: "The rate at which gear gains spiritbond will now be reduced when gear is not the appropriate level for a given duty or open-world encounter. Furthermore, if the item level of gear is too high or too low, it will no longer gain spiritbond"

Does this mean that, if i'm taking a walk in mor dhona, killing hapalits and hippogryphs, my ilv 20-30 crafting accessories won't sb at all?

With the change in Spirit Bonding, it looks like I am just taking gear off so that I do not rip hate off of lower level tanks... if they are penalizing me for making it so that I do no tank as a BLM, then I will be less likely to use the DF for anything that I am not of level for... I know I am ranting, and that a lot of people abused the system really bad... but I think this is just going to cause issues with other things and people go other places to SB, or with people just striping down for the fun of it now.

Or just wait a few seconds before attacking / use quelling when needed. If you start attacking as soon as the tank uses shield lob / tomahawk then yeah you may pull aggro, you're not giving the tank enough time to generate hate.

You can evaluate the tank's gear at the beginning of the instance and tweak your rotation after first pull if needed, maybe open with bliz 3.

Yeah I do a lot of that already... I am just being grumpy because I they are not giving me much reason to also drop my gear to a level that means that they do not have to be on their A game to keep agro with me doing everything else to not pull it. The bigger issue really stems from the fact that when the tank is 10+ levels lower than the DPS, the DPS needs to drop down, but a lot of the newer content mixes up the gear levels real bad.

Except that anyone that kills one is going to lose any interest in killing it again for the rest of the week, and probably for several weeks afterwards. And, since people are assigned different targets, only a small fraction of the server will be hunting the same mob as you, and even less of them will be hunting at the same time as you. No, weekly hunts will definitely be much easier, now.

The /pet emote doesnt scale for smaller people trying to pat people of slightly higher height.

Well really, the shots I saw was of people petting Lalafels... so I do not know if they were thinking about the other direction too much...
