Multitask while being carried, yeah no that's not how it should be.

It was a great change.

So you think that someone wearing a level 49 ring in a level 50 dungeon is being carried, then?

I think that's extreme, and I don't think a change like this needs to be that extreme.

Not necessary. The game have a level 50 numerical cap, but this doesn't mean the level 50 Livia Sas Junius is of the same grade as the level 50 Siren in Pharos Sirus.

Siren, technically is considered higher level than Livia. Just like how an avg IL110 character is stronger, or "higher level" than an avg IL70 character.

You can tell this by noticing what kind of gear SB in which instance. IL70 gear does not bind in CM (where Livia is) but binds in Pharos Sirus.

The new IL90 crafted gear binds in Syrus Tower, but not in Pharos Sirus.


With this change, your IL49 ring will bind in CM, but if you bring it to ST it might not bind at all.

And that's why it's a great change, now people have to do content with around the same ilvl as the gear they want to sb, no longer leeching off party members (unless it's crafter gear, still leeching).

I'm certainly welcoming this change, it is more of the materia conversion that bothers me

Hmm dunno, there's also crafter/gatherer gear that can't reach higher than i55, I don't think they would lower the rate of 45-69 gear without increasing the max ilvl for those, though I do agree with your views about i70, that's what they seem to be hinting.
