Now, dailies have been boosted. Doing them will net you at least 30 seals. You can do them within the hour or more, depending if you want to wait out for the FATE mobs. Maybe the overall reward doesn't seem as great, but the time you have to invest to get a measurable amount of seals is vastly improved.
Sounds like your server sucks. I got 800 seals and a log yesterday doing hunts for about 5 hours. I probably only did 1 B rank in all of that.
