Don't buy tickets from other people

There seem to be several posts where people want to buy tickets from another person. Tickets are nontransferable. I also asked support, and they verified that, since they check ID. Now, someone says something about you can change the information. You should probably talk to support before you allow yourself to get scalped then very likely have your ticket be invalid. You can buy at the door at a premium, though.

While the purchase is non-transferrable, you can very easily change the information on a ticket. That being said, use caution if you'd like to do so.

when it says its not transferrable, they are saying that the person who bought the ticket will always be the one who owns it, i have also read that you can change the name before 31 AUG, but i could be mistaken.when you buy multiple tickets, it belongs to the person who paid for it, but the ticket isnt actually for them.

im not sure who you were speaking to, but thats what i said. ownership itself doesnt change, but info for the person the ticket is meant for can, i even mentioned the date. you did not contradict anything i said, only gave it merit. and changing the info on the ticket does not make someone else the owner of said ticket.

Nope, was not referring to you but to JBenefiel24 who is posting everywhere with this nonsense.

The "order info" on the ticket does not change. It will always list who purchased the ticket, date, time, and the order number.

But the name on the ticket can be changed until August 31. This misinformation needs to stop.

just going to quote myself from the other thread and yes the name printed on the ticket physically can be changed not the buyer name but the ATTENDEE name that appears in the upper right.

If I say the sky is green multiple times it doesn't make it a fact... The fact is through the eventbrite website you can change the name on the ticket up to and including August 31st.



Information you can edit included everything from name address phone number right down to character name server and shirt size

Yes you can change everything on the ticket outside of the buyers name.

The attendees name, email, address, phone number, country, zip/postal, state/province, character name, data center, server, t shirt size, all of this can be edited, the ID will likely be checked against the name on the upper right of the ticket where the attendees name appears. That said because this is so easily changeable I would excersise caution in buying from untreated sources who may sell the same ticket many times.

If you do buy ticket(s) from someone, I would make sure to verify that the ticket hasn't been changed right after the 31st deadline. This way if you had paid with Paypal, you can have time to file a dispute.
