Xbox version of FFXIV?

Microsoft's reasoning is completed flawed from my point of view then again I can't stop but laugh at the decisions Microsoft has made since their Xbox 360 reveal. Then again the way Microsoft views this industry and defines "entertainment" is completely different from what I call "entertainment".

I'm willing to concede slightly on the XBONE vs PS4 issue, maybe they REALLY don't want their users fraternising with "the enemy".

But not letting them play with people on Windows PC's as well? That seems a little odd to say the least. Apparently Yoshi offered a XBox+PC server compromise but they wouldn't take that either and that really seems like they're being stubborn just for the sake of it and hurting themselves and their player base for bonus points.

Xbox doesn't deserve FFXIV and Xbox users don't deserve it as well. see what Microsoft doing to you? and you still buying their products? it's all their decision to not allow you guys to play with the other players from other platforms.

But on topic Microsoft is honestly just a greedy, selfish company. This is not new, I don't know why they are so against their players playing with other consoles/systems but as i said, this is just the way they are.

This needs a bit of clarification. It's not that Microsoft doesn't want to 'share' with PS3/PS4/PC, it's that they don't want to share with the PS3/PS4. Given that PCs that run XIV are also running Windows, Microsoft has no issues with that. It's the other consoles Microsoft doesn't want to play with. This was the case with many other MMOs that have also been on an XBox, like Sega's Phantasy Star titles. Microsoft is pretty much all, "My way or no way." these days.

About 22 minutes in Yoshi addresses specifically a Windows+XBox server and Microsoft said no.
