Xbox version of FFXIV?

When is SE going to release the Xbox 360/One version of FFXIV? I have a couple friends who have played FFXI on 360 for a long time and now they want to play FFXIV. Neither of them have a gaming PC so that isn't an option.

Lately SE seems to have pretty good relations with MS since they just announced the next Tomb Raider game will be exclusive on Xbox One.

So is will we be getting Xbox version any time soon?

You don't need a gaming pc to play FFXIV, i play on low settings and it looks and runs just fine.

There is an issue with the 360/one version, MS wants to have dedicated servers, and Yoshi-P wants everybody to play together and MS does not share that idea

If there is talk about dropping the Ps3 support after X update then I dont see 360 version coming along just X1

MS paid SE for the timed exclusive of Tomb Raider because theyre getting owned in sales and are desperate for an answer to Uncharted 4. Thats it. SE has been having financial problems and MS offered them an easy buck. Doesnt mean theyre any more "friendly" than they usually are.

FFXIV isnt on Xbox because they insist on using MS exclusive servers and charge players gold membership plus a sub fee to play. MS wants a piece of the pie for every game played online using the Xbox. Unless MS somehow changes that (which I doubt, FFXIV isnt that big a game) Xbox FFXIV will not happen. SE is fine as is.

Id be in shock if MS ever did let this happ but they never do anything to shock me so!! but ESO will come to ps4/xone {we think} at some point and i'm guessing ps4 pc and xone players will all be playing together right? so MS will prob have the stick out of there bum by then^^

Yoshida wants it to happen. Hell, he even said the team is pretty much ready to make an Xbox One version at any time. Its just that Microsoft's online policies prevents them from putting the game on that system. Yoshida is willing, but the ball is in Microsoft's court now.

I'm pretty sure once Microsoft realizes how much of a success FFXIV is, they will turn heel and allow the game on Xbox One.

No, ESO has separate servers for each platform. This was stated quite a long time ago.

No it's not. It's perfect. All the console peasants can run around lost and not know what to do or get any help because they can't communicate. Being bothered to type on a controller or buying a keyboard to type with while playing an MMO is hard. Ideally the Console servers and PC servers can have their needs catered too specifically which would give the playerbase a better gaming experience.
