I've never had a smooth transaction with FFXIV... like never. You'd think in today's modern world where we 1 touch pay for things on our mobile devices this would not be the case.
1.) I prefer to pay for everything as it comes. I don't like to manage subscriptions. Being that I have many subscriptions, I am simply not a fan of auto pay because tracking all of these would be a chore in itself.
2.) My preferred payment method is paypal. I don't have to dig out a credit card or worry about which card I have what payment on. Paypal is an option but you have to dig a bit for it. It should be plainly visible as a payment option right up there with Visa, MasterCard and the other popular forms of payment.
Instead it is found as an additional tab only after selecting UltimatePay which is not a popular form of payment.
3.) After selecting and paying with paypal. The webpage stalls on a loading screen for a very long period of time. If it does progress forward, I really wouldn't know because after 3-4 minutes I just refresh the page. There is no additional information other than "Loading" if there is progression it needs to state. "Please wait! This process could take up to x minutes." Honestly 4 minutes is enough time to process thousands of transactions or load GBs of information.
4.) After refreshing the page... my Crysta has not been credited to my account.
5.) I check my bank account and it has not been charged.
6.) I repeat this process.
7.) Waiting waiting waiting... screen does not progress beyond the loading screen.
8.) Check the bank again and still do not see a charge.
9.) Click refresh and I now have double the Crysta and have been charged twice. /facepalm
Now this is not that big of a deal that I've been charged twice in my case... I'll just use the additional Crysta next month.
However, your system is broken and not very user friendly. This is especially bad when it comes to peoples money.
