So this morning I purchased an account for a friend of mine to come and play with me. I checked to see that Hyperion was accepting accounts before I even went through this process.
Then I purchased a digital download for the game off your site and never received an email. I went grocery shopping and still had not received an email after I had returned so I called your support and found that I had to go through Digital River because they take care of your E-store.
This was a complete nightmare and dealing with Digital River was absolutely horrendous. When I had such a negative experience, I went and looked them up and apparently this is pretty par for the course. Negative reviews as far as the eye can see. Being on the phone with someone who could not even complete a simple task and then would not up me to a manager when asked to boot.
With all this, fine... Whatever. I got the game, I got her account and even got her referred so that we could play together. Checked the forums to make sure Hyperion was still open and it was. Great. All is forgiven.
Then she makes her character and cannot select Hyperion. All this horrendous nightmare of a situation and the icing on the cake is that she cannot play with me at all.
Why did I refer a friend? Why would she even want to play if she can't be on the server I play on, which TELLS her that its open. Why would she take PTO so she can start the game with me and my husband who also plays? Why would I want to tell anyone in the future to purchase this game and come play with me when this is how I'm taken care of? And to top it all off, your support tells me they can't do anything about it and that the forums have been alight with complaints about the same thing, that they receive calls all the time about this issue and that the ONLY thing I can do is put up a forum post and PRAY that in the next couple of weeks that she can create a character on my server because the admins don't care enough about their players to be able to fix a problem even though they want to recruit more paying players.
