As much as I fear it happening, I'm feeling the patch is going to have modification to the seal payout, or implement a weekly cap since Yoshi P stated he didn't want to release any info that would cause us to either horde as many seals as possible before the patch, or wait. If something along those lines was not planned, he wouldn't have danced around the question. Hopefully it's the former. Weekly caps are already horrible as it is, but having to take 2-3 weeks just for one piece elite gear would be just wrong.

It's cause of that oversight that the metagame of people waiting for the horde to arrive started because no longer is it about getting items of vanity but rather items that actually can help with doing certain content.
I have been in hunt parties where people are there to *cap their SLD* for the week. It's a very fast way to do it while also getting seals for sands/oils/glamour/whatever. And really detracts from people's incentives to do much of anything else when they're concerned about gearing up.

Reducing tomestone payout seems like good fix so you're not getting too much in one place. And/or adding seals to other activities.

It doesn't matter, I have almost enough sands to fully gear 3 classes. Even if they outright remove sands/oils from hunts (doubtful) I will be able to finish off from ST without issue.

All it does is hinder those who weren't part of the masses farming this stuff out.

I feel as many others do, that the changes will be tweaks to the rewards given out and potentially a weekly cap to allied seals.

As far as what I would like to happen to hunts, i posted some suggestions in another thread and am pasting it below.

    My suggestions are.

    - Give higher rewards for Normal Hunt Bills across the board.
Just throwing some numbers out there but 5 seals for a normal bill, 15 seals for the next grade i.e. the ones that currently give you 2 seals and are weaker FATE bosses.

    - Add a new tier to the normal hunts that gives 30 seals and the targets are the nastier FATE bosses (the ones there are achievements for) like Gorgimera, the Cyclops, etc. (not Odin and Behemoth as those have different rewards and are supposed to be their own thing).

    - Change the Normal Bill from having 5 marks in it to 7 with this distribution (4 that give 5 seals (normal mobs), 2 that give 15 seals (weak FATE bosses), 1 that gives 30 seals (nastier FATE boss).

The Elite Hunt Bills and the Elite Hunt Marks can pretty much stay as they are functionally, as I feel adding better incentive to do other aspects of the hunt would draw players away from the Elite Marks and make it less of a Zergfest.

However the Elite Mark rewards could be reduced somewhat. The seal amount could stay the same but the Tome rewards are pretty high and people use these as the main or in some cases only way to quickly cap tomes, so reducing the tomes given by Elite Marks would be a good idea imo.

The numbers that I used for allied seals rewarded were just thrown out there and are based on how many seals are rewarded right now for the Elite Marks and how easy it is to farm them.

My guesses for the Hunt Fixins:
-Fixing rendering priority for Elite Marks
-Higher rewards for daily and weekly hunt bills
-Adjusted Allied Seal costs for i90 items
-Potential downward cost adjustment for the i70 glamour items

Why would you do this, the prices are fine as is.

Currently, you get so much myth while hunting that spending your seals on i90 gear is a waste.

I can't see them removing the soldiery reward completley, as this would create general outcry/or riot threads lol.

Hopefully - Increased cost of i90 items, Decreased cost of glamour items.

I predict the removal (or severe reduction) of Myth/Sold tomes as rewards, and a drop in seals for killing the actual mark but an increase in seals for completing the daily/weekly mark "bills".

    Examples:
    - Completing "kill counts" for daily bills nets you 5 Allied Seals per bill (15 max per day total)
    - Completing FATEs for daily bills nets you 10 Allied Seals per bill (20 max per day total)
    - B rank still drops 5 Allied Seals, if you have the weekly bill though, you get 50 + 5 seals
    - A rank now drops 10 Allied Seals
    - S rank now drops 25 Allied Seals

This way... if you do all your daily/weekly bills, you can get 300 Allied Seals per week, and that's if you choose to ignore hunting parties for extra seals from random kills. Seems fair for both casual players and hardcore ones imo, as the hardcores are going to grind hunts regardless of the amount of seals you get per kill, so they will get what they want anyways, albeit a little slower than the current method.

I don't necessarily want them to do that, but I can see it happening only because after a few hours of hunting I can get basically instant i90 which seems to be a more break-neck pace than SE has allowed for gearing before. My guess is they never intended/foresaw entire servers banding together to reduce hunting to a mechanical spectacle and giant zerg grind. So it really would not surprise me if they did increase the cost if the myth armor a bit.

Im guessing either a slight downward adjustment to soldiery rewards, or an overhaul of the seal rewards for daily/weekly hunt boards.

As of right now, the board is the only truly broken part of hunting in my opinion.

    *** EDIT:

As far as i90 being cheap and quick with hunts, I think that was entirely intentional. Keep in mind this is a catch up patch for 2.4, where the ilvl is going to be expanded even further. i90 is not the shiz anymore, its basically the bare minimum you need in order to complete all of the current content. It makes sense to give players a way to beeline to that.
