Give Hunt Marks a weekly limit!

Hunts are imbalacing the game, everyone should know this by now. You can get sand of time and oil of time in like one day if you're eager enough to zerg hours for hunt monsters. It's like that SE are saying to people who were practicing weeks to finally clear T8 and get their sands of time to just screw themself. Not to mention that the reason to do dungeons at lvl 50 fell down to either doing some atma book dungeon or doing your daily for alexandrite.

That may just my opinion but SE really has to fix this with an weekly cap how much hunt marks u can gather.

The community is suffering from this, just watch the area shouts when someone pulls a hunt monster before certain players haven't arrived yet in time. You will know what I mean.

Go ahead, I don't care. Have enough seals that I never have to hunt again if I don't want to. Go ahead and shoot the community in the foot for all I care.

Actually, I don't have all the seals I need; I've only upgraded 2 pieces of armor so far. But it's been a month since the hunts were release and introducing any sort of limit on the allied seals would just be gating a good chunk of community from equipment that they haven't had to chance to acquire yet. Maybe giving people easy access to Sands and Oils isn't totally fair to people who have been farming Turn 2. It's absolutely not fair to block late comers from the equipment at this point, however.

Who said about blocking them off? I never said to delete the Hunt, I just want to have it equal to coils, coils are weekly limited, so why not giving hunt marks a weekly limit as well?

If you would like a cap why don't you suggest what the cap should be?

Truth is there is an effective cap in place already. It's the cap that exists on soldiery tomes. You can only upgrade a piece that you own, so once people are caught up they will only be able to upgrade one piece (possibly two when the math works out) per week.

It's three weeks. I don't think SE cares that they severely unbalanced their best game in a while now.

A cap would be blocking them off every week. There were people who were able to upgrade multiple items a week. A weekly cap would prevent anybody who hasn't fully upgraded their gear or who haven't started hunting from doing the same. If a cap were introduced in the first week or so, fine, no big damage. But it has been almost an entire month since the patch. There would be no benefit to a weekly cap except to bar anybody who didn't jump on the hunt train right away from the same equipment as those who did. That includes new players, more casual players, players who aren't as interested in the hunt because they have different priorities, among others.

It would do more damage than good because you would still have the massive numbers of players who have been taking advantage of the hunts, are fully geared, yet no more ready for Second Coil because the gear won't compensate for skill; meanwhile, you'd also have a growing number of players angry because they're now gated behind a weekly cap on seals.

A cap would probably work. You could totally still do hunts for Soldiery and Myth, which is another venue for upgrading your ilevel. You are correct though, hunts taken a huge chunk of the player base out of the dungeons, raids and frontlines that it has become the new endgame. It's funny and a bit frustrating. Hopefully they'll come up with a good solution. Though, at the moment- capping seems like the only decent one. I would say 450-500 should be a good number. You can buy 2 alexandrite or 2 logs. Which is an oil a week or if you save it, a sand every 2 weeks.

Hunts are still in their infancy (yes, 1 month in an MMO makes them still an infant). 1 month of players doing the hunt train pales in comparison to 10+ years of players joining the game and doing hunts AFTER this given month. So no, it's not too late to introduce drastic changes to the hunt system.

They could make sands themselves drop from the elites, it's not going to change the overall balance of the game. People that couldn't complete SCoB before aren't magically going to have the ability to do so now.

People will get to run around in their i110 gear with no content that actually requires them to utilize it.
