[Suggestion] New Inventory Option: Text List Detailed View

Wouldn't it be great if the inventory was a text list instead of rows upon rows of indistinguishable icons? I would love to be able to have my inventory in alphabetical order, or in order by type of item. Kind of like how the inventory is in every other Final Fantasy game! Why do mmos just love this grid of icons for an inventory? I know the names of the items I'm looking for not what their icon looks like! A text inventory could also display a lot more helpful information than the grid/icon type inventory too! It would also just have a cleaner appearance.

It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to implement the option. The shopkeeper windows are displayed as a text list so it's already in the game sort of. Just let us have the option for our inventory!

I was going to make my own thread for this since its been a while since I griped about it. But I found this nice Suggestion.

Really tired of wasting so much time looking crosseyed at my items trying to find the right one. I was melding materia the other day and it hit me how much easier it is to find your item when there is a nice list of everything you have.

My brain starts hurting everytime I think about having to retrieve a certain type of lumber from my retainer. Don't even get me started on sorting raw gemstones X_X



Its like some kind of twisted game every time I go looking for a certain stone XD

I love this idea. Especially in the case of crafting materials with totally identical icons like that. Also giving me the ability to sort and re-sort my inventory based on what I'm looking for.. yes please, can I have it?
