Calamity Gear

Yes i was looking through some of the calamity gear and was curious to as if any of it is going to resurface in the game.

I would think probably not. Those are items that were obtained by doing things in 1.xx, and I'm more than content to let them be exclusive content for the brave souls that toughed it out to the end and cleared Rivenroad.

Uh... Calamity gear? I don't remember there being any gear specifically gained through the Calamity and I played alot of 1.#.

there was some pieces like Dalamund horn , White Ravens (earrings) , and dated gear (which is still awesome for vanty) , other than that i dont remember .

Add them to the quick exploration venture list.

With the crap my retainer has managed to find, a pair of white ravens shouldn't be out of the question.
(Add the moogle earrings and such too while your at it please.)

Okay, I guess you could call the Dalamud Horn and White Ravens Calamity gear given they were rewards for facing Nael Van Darnus. Dated gear, though, is not. Dated gear is Tanaka's XIV, which didn't have a proper class system, so when a propr class system was introduced all the old gear was reclassified as Dated. Yes, great for Glamour but I doubt you're ever going to see it save on Legacy characters. Yoshida did everything he could do phase out Dated gear and has said repeatedly that the 1.# specific rewards would stay 1.# specific rewards.

There was once a rework of the recipes, reducing the parts you needed for a finished gear (5 parts instead of 10 as example). And the gears that were crafted with the old recipes became dated gear.

I thought they were gonna make some old items appear on the calamity merchant?

Well it is also I ask this for the poor souls (myself included) that didn't even know this game was out during that time, i honestly didn't here about this game until december of last year, and Hero Samson they did but you can only obtain it by trading the male/female counterpart version of it
