Battle Royale

Probably speaking way out of my depth here since I don't take part in most current PvP content but what would people think of a complete Free-for-All (no teams) battle taking place on a battlefield the size of front lines?

This can be great but 2 points :
- Make it teams vs teams vs teams vs teams (like 5-10 teams of 8 people), most of people don't play MMO to be solo...
- Area should be smaller than frontline area : if the objectif is to be the last (or the last team ) standing, the frontline map is too big for this.

I don't think SE is going to add pvp map before the extension anyway =)

Solo PvP would be bad news for something the size of Frontlines. Highly mobile characters than can do damage while running, like Bards, or any of the mage classes with Sprint, would have a prominent edge. Not to mention there are myriads places to hide and simply let the others clean up one another, which when people would understand both facts, would lead to boring hiding for several minutes until someone gets impatient.

But smaller groups, not tied to Grand Company, because that is really kind of stupid and the antithesis to playing with your Free Company and other friends, could work like that.

Though I like this sorta thing, sadly, theres such little interest in it, they wont do it, also players really loathe losing 1 Vs 1 against another player, and even blizz knows this, so they dont really let it happen, in order to cause players to rage less.

I would like it, but i quote Caly.
Atleast party of 3, even because if not in this content a lot of classes should be highly rebalanced.

Also in those map should be funny if you can do even other things to obtain point, like the drones of FL (but not with specific pop-time), and even switch to Gatherer to find strange materials(that could be even only useful to obatin bonus points) and special maps, that work like treasure hunt, with a reward similar to the actual Treasure hunt and a big point reward.

Battle Royale is no good for support. This would be only for DPS.

And Tanks. 1v1 it is possible for a Paladin or Marauder to kill any equally geared DPS.
