Spoon feeding much?
Spoon feeding much?
I don't think when hunts were implemented, the devs envisioned it to be a system where people kept track of "open" spawn windows and mobs of parties teleported from zone to zone to zerg down the marks, so I'm pretty sure they aren't going to implement anything in-game that makes this current behavior even easier.
If they want hunts to be what they intended, as bonus targets that people happen to discover while doing other in-game activities rather than what it has become now, they should make all A-rank marks have a random 1-48 hour spawn window after previous ToD. This would basically eliminate the "tracking" of open spawn windows which people are using now to turn hunts into a teleport-zerg fest.
Oh we read it....and then proceeded to explain why no that's a bad idea...some in a nicer way than others. But no, said tool is NOT needed....as people weren't supposed to take hunts to this level of planning, and server organization in the first place. ALL that was supposed to happen is 'Oh, there's a mark lemme tell my friends' /l /FC 'mark at blah blah come quick!' Friends come and you kill everyone's happy....maybe even a couple other random adventurers join in the fun....If the mob is an S rank, or bigger than your circle can handle, time to get out the /sh S rank! ...but that's ALL SE envisioned the playerbase doing.
Sure they expected a couple lore hounds/numbers people to come up with spawn conditions and predictions, and I'm sure they even expected the community to use this info if/when shared. But that is different than SE doing the thinking/planning for us.
By OP's logic, the mob should appear as a big blinking mark on my map too....so I can get to it w/o looking. (because that would be the NEXT thing people'd ask for if this were granted).
We have lots of player made data collections all filled w/ information that the game doesn't really hand us, but once you know it/look it up, you're grand. Some but not all of these include:
1. Gardening crosses
2. BiS gear setup/stat caps for certain content/levels
3. Rare Gathering Node spawn times/locations
4. Sightseeing guides/logs
...etc.
So yeah, he got silly responses/told flat 'No'. But that's because it breaks the nature of hunts (which you know should require some 'hunting'), and/or makes it so even more people can easily/lazily farm content that is already overdone.
I guess at least half of the people bashing the idea are using thehunting.tk frequently and fear even more people will be able to hunt more successfully if it would be an ingame feature. Hunt is no mystery anymore. There is the said website, there are spreadsheets, indivdual hunting LS or groups make them on their own. I would prefer to have a built in timer because I play on PS4 and my PC is behind me so it is not really convinient to use a website while gaming. It is doable with a PS4/PC or smartphone combo but it could be less hazzle if it would be an ingame feature. And more reliable since it would be independant from user submissions. But yeah the OP is asking for spoon feeding while the people using thehunting.tk are autonomous and have all built the knowledge on their own. U guys are funny.
It'd remove most of what makes the Hunts what they are and sounds like it's too complex to code which is a big no no when it comes to adding features in this game. One thing I'd rather have back is NMs showing on the minimap since it'd mostly eliminate Radar usage, in fact all mobs showed up on the mini map in 1.0, but I guess that feature is now too much for a superior engine and server code from a 2013 game to handle vs an engine from a 2010 game, aka PS3 limitations.

I tried to throw in some hunt suggestions of my own that were not well received on the forums. But the dev team sounds very clued in to the problems and player feedback and are gonna deploy some unspecified changes in the patch, so we can look at things again on Tuesday and decide if there's still a problem.
I would have thought that a personal alarm clock app would have been running around by now. Like, you start it up, hunt until you see a mark die, click on the app to mark the specific target just died and the timer would start ticking on its own and beep/pop up and warn when spawn window opens and you just do it again to other marks until you have them all running. Sure, the spawn windows are large but from what I've seen, people have hunted for hours (only up 900 marks...3 week ago here).
Please also implement a timer to tell me exactly when a mob or boss is going to do a move way before they do it please.
/Sarcasm
Not going to happen because takes more memory/storage.
Please have them hand me everything in game so I don't have to play at all. Am I rite OP?! That's what you're asking for, its sad enough hunts give sands and stuff away so easily is. Don't be lazy
Having the server come together to keep track of hunts, imo builds community.
In the end, you're just using an external resource to further advancement of a feature. How is this different from youtube, skill calculators, timers and online guides?
