The most common name in Eorzea

in my server, there is no doubt the most common name that i usually see is 'Kitty'.. there are so many players with 'Kitty' names..

for example

Kitty Meowmeows
Kitty Wonderwats

Cloud Strife
Sephiroth Strife
Sephiroth Ziegelwange

because Sephiroth Highwind was clearly taken and everyone has to be a unique little snowflake.

Highwinds, Sephiroths, Strifes, Lockharts... Originality's hard to find at times. (no offense to anyone using names like these btw, I just find it a bit eh to not think up your own completely original name, hard as it may be)

I sat for 3 hours in the character creation window trying to find a name matching a good last name for my liking, which didn't seem to happen. I was so eager to finally log in and try the game that I said f*** it and went with the FF names list, and I like Vanille anyway.

I see a buttload of Nuhn, or Rin's or some stuff on a male Miqote...Like allllll the time.
Every DRG and their mum's are some sort of Highwind. It's not even funny how many
Highwinds there are.

Nunh and Tia is the only lore friendly surname a keeper of sun Male Miqo'te can have so those are probably the most common male name in Eorzea, as all those npcs will have those names

Names like "Cloud" and "Sephiroth" are restricted, so you'll see misspellings of these names by lazy people who can't just think of something else to reference.

True, though there seems to be a heck of a lot more mancats named Nunh than Tia, although the lore indicates it should be the other way around. Lots of mancats think very highly of themselves, I guess.

Tia's everywhere. Luna's everywhere. Stark's everywhere. Cat/kat/kitty derived names everywhere. Do'Urden's everywhere. Majere's everywhere.

Oh and people trying to be comical. Things like Everqueef or Hasabooty.
