Well, this is actually the forum for feedback on the lodestone website and the forum, not feedback on the game.

EDIT: Disregard what I say below, I can't read it seems >_<
Did... did you even read the OP?
The whole point of most of these forums [not just this forum, the OTHER forums for feedback that apparently the Devs and you have forgotten about] is for getting feedback to the devs and hearing responses back on that feedback.
Letting the devs know we want them to check and respond on relevant issues in the correct forums, and stop encouraging them in the wrong ones... is pretty much in line with feedback regarding the forums in this specific forum.

What? I know what your OP is talking about and I agree with it, as per my first post.Did... did you even read the OP?

I was responding to Nixius, who said, "I don't see as many dev responses in the 'feedback & suggestions' forum as in the general forum, which is odd... Still, at least we have devs engaging with us at all right =)?"
Which means that he thinks it's strange that the there are not many dev posts in this section. Which indicates that he thinks this section of the forum is for game feedback, which it is not. Which is why I explained to him that this "feedback and suggestions" for the website and forums only, hence no dev posts regarding game content.
I know you posted this thread in the right forum section. I wasn't addressing that at all.

I misread, my apologies. For some reason my mind blanked out the quote. What? I know what your OP is talking about and I agree with it, as per my first post.

Bayohne, I greatly appreciate that you and the team are replying to out posts. It alleyed my greatest concern dating back to my time with FFXI and how little we heard from the team back then.We are aware of the issue that you're posting about. It's hard for us to say "yes, we will only respond to topics in posts that are made in the correct forum." We usually respond to topics that have major discussions and as I'm sure you can see, that is more often than not the General Discussion forum. "Why don't you move the threads to the appropriate forums then?" Because then we'd be spending most of our day doing just that. I'll make sure we try to strike a true balance on where we respond, but I assure you that even the "small topics" in the right forum are being seen. You can be sure that those view numbers next to the topic, 9 times out of 10, one of them is us.
We'll try harder!
I really don't want to be negative about this at all but more concerned about the state of these forums, please keep in mind many of the posts replied to in General are reposts and multi-reposts of relevant older topics in the correct forums, which have no dev response.
I just feel by mostly responding in there it encourages people to continue to only voice any and every concern there, cluttering up that forum and leaving it feeling like a ghost town out here![]()

It also gives more attention to the nonsensical bickering that seems to go on a lot in "general discussion".

Its almost exactly that reason I hate to post there.
Really I get the feeling that all the popular and most discussed topics are mostly in General because everyone sees that the developers mostly respond in that forum.
The thought process likely being "I only see them post replies in there, and never see them in the correct forum. Therefore I will post incorrectly in the General Discussions folder"
How it ended up there was probably a subtle shift, because back when the forums first started it wasn't like that.
If more devs started responding here and not just in one forum most of the time I'm sure discussions would pick right back up where they belong.
