my issue with this place since day 1. read the first few pages of the "female galka" thread for my early opinions. lulz... -.-

We are aware of the issue that you're posting about. It's hard for us to say "yes, we will only respond to topics in posts that are made in the correct forum." We usually respond to topics that have major discussions and as I'm sure you can see, that is more often than not the General Discussion forum. "Why don't you move the threads to the appropriate forums then?" Because then we'd be spending most of our day doing just that. I'll make sure we try to strike a true balance on where we respond, but I assure you that even the "small topics" in the right forum are being seen. You can be sure that those view numbers next to the topic, 9 times out of 10, one of them is us.

Well, could at least move the ones that receive dev response to the correct forum then...its not like you guys reply every forum anyway ^^: And i agree with renta...putting these GMs to place forum would be a good thing.

it would help a great deal if your sticky'd Rules for feedback and suggestions thread, actually specified where we are supposed to post for game related topics. it does not, it simply says that this thread is not is not for Game feed back and directs us to find the ever elusive FFXIV Feedback thread.

a simple link update to the sticky'd post that says all Game related Posts must go Here <link> would help wonderfully.

You do need to try harder because there are 2 topics concerning billing which still have yet to be addressed by the Devs both of which have well over 100 responses and both of which people state they refuse to use the crappy services SE ha provided to us for billing for this game. Don't you think it would be wise to address this with the proper people before the game goes live to assure the community that the proper action will be taken.

I mean it would be nice to know if we are wasting our time because if Click and Buy is still there as the main CC source of payment at relaunch most of us intend to quit because it is not a reputable company. Save us the trouble and let us quit now if that is SE intention.

Forgive me if it sounds like I'm trolling here:

Given the differences between FFXI/FFXIV and many of the other games in the genre, I'm certain that there is a sizeable pool of friendly people with OCD willing to take on thread-sorting on a volunteer basis. I complained about this very issue in the Website Feedback forum, and less than two weeks later, my topic was off the first page because of all the misplaced topics and banal requests for implementing various things from FF7 into the game.

The GMs already have plenty to do, tasking them with BB-management duties as well seems to be just piling it on. SE needs to either hire more people to the community team, or they need to start recruiting some unpaid volunteers.

Perhaps more of a voting system. Akin to the 'like' button, but used instead as a way to vote on what category something is best under. After a certain threshold the topic is moved to a category automatically.
Could also do this for reposts. Enough 'this is a repost' votes and that post gets appended (For this to work you'd need a way to 'point' at the original. Probably also require the original have an older posting date). Would help cut down on all the repeated cruft in heavy traffic boards while needing only the time spent implementing this feature and community participation.
