I feel like this whole thread is two people arguing lol.

I personally am doing Crit and det. It's very expensive but I think it suits me I am considering some SS, but hopefully my gil bank holds out.

Well, as far as i'm concerned, there isn't really an argument. If you want the best DPS, go Spellspeed/Det. If you want crit and not as much dps, go spellspeed/crit, crit/spellspeed or crit/det. If you want to prepare for 2.4 raiding, go spellspeed/acc.

Or if you are silly, put piety on.

It's crap like that which puts you firmly in the Troll category. Go prove that the very slight Piety increase isn't a dps increase. I have never seen anyone do any math on it, not even Puro. You make statements belittling others for their build choices where they have given valid and sound reasons for it. The only crap that matters to you is theoretical output that in real world applications is far overshadowed by RNG and player error.

I've given you the link, if you want to not read it that is your choice. RNG and player error affects crit builds far more than they affect spellspeed builds, as i've gone into earlier in the thread.

I'd rather be arrogant and right than ignorant and wrong. Facts are facts, and if you don't want to read and look into it, then don't claim you are right. If you have any hard evidence or math, feel free to link it.

I also think you need to look at your definition of a troll to. Constantly arguing something that is completely incorrect isn't trolling, but posting facts and evidence is? Ok.

I feel like you and Harold are arguing from different perspectives, honestly. Harold is very focused on SCOB (where you would have a SCH in your group most of the time anyway), and you are speaking from a perspective in which you don't always have a SCH (in other content). If I were to step into Harold's shoes, I would also think that throwing 8 points of Piety into your Novus is a waste because, assuming PuroStrider's stat weights are accurate, you would be trading almost 1 1/2 INT worth of secondary stats, if not more, for something that would be going to waste when a SCH is present. Going 29 INT/1 PIE on your attributes and putting the rest of your Novus stats into something-not-piety would give you more DPS.

That said, I would venture to say that if you (in general, not you specifically) are not currently progressing through current raid content and/or have no plans to, the stat distribution on your Novus for max DPS isn't really something people should be stabbing each other over.
