Not to get all philosophical on your ass, but What Is Bahamut? Nael Deus Darnus could use Megaflare. Bahamut, in what we believe to be his true form, decimated the realm in a matter of seconds. It can be assumed that his attacks were believed by the smartest man in the realm to be fatal. I say this because selfsame man teleported everyone with the greatest potential to fight Bahamut beyond space and time. Fighting Bahamut would be like Spine of Deathwing in WoW. No, I don't think we will fight what we saw in End of an Era in the current patch cycle. Yes, I do think that we will fight him in some form. I believe [spoiler] that the last boss of the last turn will be corrupted Loisoix due to how Second Coil ends.[/spoiler] Bahamut's EoE form is still on the mend, leading me to doubt he'd be up to form in time for us to storm the last fragment of Dalamud.

I don't think we'll fight Bahamut directly but rather have a huge boss gauntlet of powered up versions of all the prior Coil bosses. At the end we have a 3 part boss fight, first with a bunch of Allagan tech (Omega perhaps?), then the Tempered Louisioux, and finally Bahamut's heart

So, unless we end up fighting an avatar of his (already kinda done) or summon a giant robot to fight him mano-a-mano, it's VERY unlikely we'll battle him in his complete state.

Yea lol just imagine how much damage he'd do by just crushing us in his hand... Probably do like 99999 dmg and he wouldn't even have broken a sweat.

I think the T13 boss will be the Alaphanaud twins, we will come down to finally being able to cut off Bahamut from ever returning but this will also mean the end of their grandfather. It's almost obvious if you think about it. They are obsessed with Luisua (grandfather and old man who binds Bahamut) The only reason Alaphaud seems to be following you through the coil is to find information on his grandfather, he freaks out when ever he gets a taste. The sister is already out on some pilgrimage trying to find the Grandfather, maybe returning corrupt and more powerful, with a dragon or something similar perhaps. Alaphaud also carries a mean looking weapon on his back that we never see extend, this could be anything, especially worthy enough for the final fight in the Binding Coil. Kill the Twins, epic cut scene of finishing Bahamut, some tease on how he might not be actually dead. Very sorry for butchering the names, that is how I say them in my head, no idea how they are actually spelt.

Yeah that Nael we fought is actually Bahamut possessing Nael's body using it as a vessel, and besides u think Nael himself would capable of such miraculous feats?

1. Instantly capable of cloning himself into multiple bodies in an instant as seen during meteor stream
2. Capable of dropping meteors and creating golems from it?
3. Megaflare is Bahamut's famous signature attack on all FF series and i've never seen anything that can cast another version or improved version of Megaflare except another Bahamut form
4. Capable of commanding dragons

In the end, its quite possible that Bahamut will also possessed louisoix's body like Nael but as in with all plots seen in JRPGs, when Bahamuts grip is weakened, Lousioix will probably regain control over his body, trying to seal bahamut in his body, and sacrifice himself aka destroying his own body to completely vanquish Bahamut

I have not done 2nd coil yet and do not sure about all the lore but why fight louisoux? We are warriors of light and was he not the Good Guy, lol
