Wasn't fun before the update either. Either revise or remove the "Use TP on this monster and you'll die" mechanic. Some attacks have elements attached, make it so you shouldn't use Red Lotus on bombs or some such. Any change in the right direction will be better than what currently is in place.

And no, this isn't "strategy". Removing some tools at your disposal is "strategy", removing near all of them is not.

Just a side note, if I remember correctly bombs are weak to fire damage, I know it sounds weird but that is the way it is, it was that way in FFXI and I think it is that way in FFXIV as well. So you should use fire spells on bombs and if you want to use a TP attack Red Lotus should do more dmg than others.
