Good mobs for MRD tog rind right now?

My 18 pug grinds the mid 20 aldgoats in thanalan but my mrd is getting kicked around by them pretty hard at rank 22. What are good mob types for me to be grinding now?

What gear are you using? Which abilities do you have on your bar?

Not to sound harsh but maybe the problem isn't the mobs you are fighting.

Actually my problems are pretty much done now that I learned how to time my ws's between attacks now, gear is great for the record up to date on everything

At your rank try roselings in Humbleheart. They are rank 27ish and being seedkin Trunksplitter thas bonus damage against them. Another good option is focusing in fast kill monsters, like puks around Cedarwood or Cellar puks in Nanawa...for a safe puk hunting all you need to do is often move around (don't forget locking-on them) so you will be always out of Backflip cone AoE. If you prefer a more slow and steady fight tho, just stick with Dodos...since they have no knockback WS you can keep steadfast up all the fight, being too able to use retailatory actions in a better way due improved parrying from steadfast. But just be aware than you're f'ed if dodo put slow on you ^^:

Also, since your MRD and PGL are around the same level, you can try and mix their actions too, like using featherfoot and haymaker/jarring strike (not sure if you have jarring at r22) for an improved low TP WS usage and better defensive style. If you mix featherfoot and its WSs with Forsight and fracture yu might be able to fight even goats with ease since they are slow so if they fail attacking (misse, evadeor parry) you will alwayshave an edge at fight.

Because r20 gear really makes a HUGE difference right?

I'd upgrade your pants and body and gain 30 more hp and 1 str, then you'll start walking all over those goats.
