So what's the purpose of making i95 crafted weapons so hard to make?

Now before we start, I would like to list the recipe.

3x (Any of the four) Primal Demimateria
-150K ea for ifrit
-400K ea for Garuda
-500K ea for Titan
-1M ea for Mog King
10x Battlecraft Demimateria
-120K ea
1x Extreme Primal drop
-2m for ifrit
-1M for Garuda
-100K for Titan
-500K for Mog King
10x Terminius Putty
- About 1.5K myth or so, which is nothing. HQ ideally if you want to go for HQ weapon.
1x random crap item varies on weapon

Obviously, all of these prices are vary from servers. And for the primal related items, they're either non-existent on their MP or way too overpriced.

Now I've decided to go for Titan bow, more so because I have 87 Desynthesis on Alchemist and every drops are for Alchemist. (The other primals mostly favors carpenter/blacksmith/goldsmith. And 1 leatherworker in Mog King) And I cant level them now since I'm already at 249/300 desyn level across all classes.

After about 40 - 50 runs, I've gotten 7 weapons. And only two of them actually succeeded @ 62%. Both of them gave me granite and crystals.

Not only do I have to deal endless amount of people dying to weights, landslides and bombs. I also have to try to win the roll over them. AND I have to pray that I actually successfully desynthesis it....AND HOPE FOR A DEMIMATERIA OF CRAGS.

And I've even tried to advertise for Titan runs and pay people to pass on loot. But of course, it's Titan. No one wants to run that even if they're paid 10K - 15K per run.

I mean seriously, all of these RNG and crap for i95 weapon that can be penta-melded. I'm not even gonna do the math, but I'm willing to bet it's only slightly better than i100 weapon at most.

tl;dr

- Desynthesis takes a good amount of time and money to level
- Primal weapons takes either too much time or too much money to make.
- Even if you have money, you better pray your marketboard has them.
- And theyre most likely not even better anything thats i110 or above.
- Oh, and if you're not paying then expect Quad RNG.

They should allow other people to desynth your stuff. They keep whatever drops, and you get the skillups. Why they decided to limit to 3 something that desnyths unique-only items is beyond me.

just buy them and done, getting 3m fo 3x demimog III consumes way less time then running primals 20 times and hoping for 1 weapon, which will fail anyway

same for titan

Some of us were really looking forward to these weapons. Personally I hate doing hard fights which is all the more reason for wanting decent gear since it makes the fights easier but it would never EVER occur to me to farm primals or even worse, coil...shudder. In 1.xx I had the option of crafting my own weapon that was at least good, I couldn't care less about BiS, or buy it from someone else so these weapons seemed perfect for me but oh no, Yoshi can't let casual players like me have a nice weapon. Since I have already stated I will never farm primals I need to buy the weapon, or the parts, which is fine since it benefits crafters who are willing to do this but they made it wayyyy to hard to get.

Except, with the amount of work I've put in so far...this is a slap to the face. The only primal weapons that actually has a decent glow is Moogles.

It's an artificial way to get current players to keep doing old Primal content over and over to ensure new and returning players have people to do them with, at least for the near future before the expansion and maybe after it. Trials roulette apparently wasn't enough motivation, so their second option was vanity and WoW glows.

same reason you need a fully melded weaver for a dress, alchemy for dyable af gear, and a melded fisher with a culinarian with high desynthesis to get some knew swimsuit
and a melded fisher retainer to get a water lily

I admit, when i saw this whole process i was pretty shocked, weapons that are outclassed by much easier to get weapons are this hard to get for no reason, it's no wonder that there is never a single weapon ever on ah (not that anyone would be crazy enough to try and sell one if they actually took the time to make them) nor the materials for anything LESS then 500k, and that's just a guess.

But yea, This is a common case of "Far to much work for little gain" even just for vanity they still aren't worth it, of course prices are set that way due to how to get them, and i doubt they will drop anytime soon.

No one will ever really bother with them here i know that much for sure. Titan for example is a deserted primal, either people have beaten it and never want to bother or no one can really pass it. let alone farming anything off him.

This will continue to be a never will do by most people type of thing till prices stabilize or SE makes them actually reasonable to get. Hell most people will just farm leviathan for the same ilvl weapon... all he needs you to do is just kill him and hope RNG is on your side.
