Faction Gear

That would be really silly since I have been around since the start of the game and actually playing but never got the chance to do Horn and Hand until recently since I did not know they were soloable. I had everything but the shoes (which I was waiting to actually have it cycle in as a reward) so if they did remove them, then bad move SE and I'll be very irritated >.>

They never said that they were going to be changing leve rewards (they should have) and as I said, it would be silly for them to have taken away the Onion Set from Faction rewards because then you would have people with incomplete sets and that doesn't make for very happy customers.

Yes I know the Onion Set really serves no purpose but it looks nice and I have the Onion Helm. I want my shoes!

I got onion gaskins as a chest reward from a faction leve a couple days ago, so they're still obtainable at the very least. Just more difficult to get than before.

Well that sucks, so now I have to do random faction leves in hopes that I may get to complete my onion set which I could do before by choosing a particular leve before and not waste points? There was no reason to change leve rewards. Lowering gil amounts is one thing but they could have left everything else the same. I'm also tired of all this food, my sister is an R50 cul, if I want food I will go to her and support the crafter!

Scarred Kite Shields now come from multiple 40 Gridania regional levequests. The Ripped Haubergeon comes from a few 40 Limsa Lominsa levequests. The equipment rewards from the regular faction levequests seems to have become less common but the vintage versions of gear are awarded more often now. (Vintage Hoplon, Vintage Guisarme, Vintage Buckler, Vintage Jester's Cap, etc) Onion gear still comes from lower rank faction levequests as rewards and chests like before but less often then before perhaps.

Horn and Hand faction levequest rewards do need some balance because the new rewards are extremely meaningless to most players. (Crafting goods don't mean anything to players doing regional levesquests) Other then that they seem to have changed the faction rewards to be vintage version gear that was formerly crafted only and moved down the worn versions to various 40 regional levequests. The pool of possible items rewarded from a chest are always identical to the pool of rewards possible for the same levequests completion which is the same as before.

where can I get tattered robe from? if I do dungeon leve's in each city, there is a chance i may get tattered robe form a chest? I sworn I found mildweed as a reward after patch in gridania, not too sure.

TY se i need a tattered robe ably, somene care to help me out? and i read the thread... I am talking about now, what findings have you discovered?

Before the patch we could see the rare eq reward, now some random thing is tucked along with the sp reward. The other day I tried doing a r30 faction leve and got the GLA-only shield. No thanks, not doing it again.

All I ever seem to get offered as rewards on the Faction Leves now are toad leather straps or undyed linen or similar... doesn't really inspire me to use my points lol. I don't really get what the Development Team were thinking when they changed these about.... especially as they are not crafting leves.

yeah.... they are not crafting leve's and ty all for letting me know they can still be gotten as rewards, and even from chests on leve's. it is just rare and hard to generate the item now ?

I really hate to revive this thread but as it has been quite awhile and I've tried lots of faction leves to try and complete my Onion set, I would like to know one way or another if we can really still get Onion Pattens from faction leves or they totally removed the onion set as rewards? If removed as rewards please give us another way to acquire set items!

I am missing only the pattens and it still irks me to have incomplete
