    Idea: An airship 'dungeon'

    All the way through 2.0, I was hoping there was going to be a dungeon based on board one of the Garlean airships (like the one that was destroyed over Silvertear Lake), I absolutely loved the idea of fighting on a moving airship in the sky. Perhaps a battle could take place on the roof of the airship, with players having to watch out for sudden movements of the ship, or strong gusts of wind. I loved the airship part of XII, so something along the lines of that would be really fun to play.

    This is great idea , i allways liked Battles on airships in FF serises . XII,XIII, Type-0 is good examples of dungeons stylistics that may fit in XIV also .

    Oooh, I like this idea. And there's plenty of good ways to fit it into the storyline too.

    Besides! Cid, Biggs, Wedge and the Enterprise need more shine-time in the game if you ask me.
    How about a gauntlet with a timer that has us doing a matrix leap onto the Enterprise at some point, only to have an enemy appear and knock the group into another part of the instance?

    I know this was kinda fulfilled in the Void Ark, but I'd love to see the Gration become a dungeon, lol.

    Not just Void Ark either - there are several dungeons already that are actually airships, even if they're not immediately obvious as such. Specifically, the Aetherochemical Research Facility and the Singularity Reactor are both on board the Flagship, the gigantic Allagan airship that serves as the central area of Azys Lla. And speaking of Azys Lla, the Fractal Continuum is also another ancient Allagan airship, this one a warship that the Allag converted into a museum.

    And it should go without saying that part of the Binding Coil of Bahamut has you travelling through a Ragnarok-class airship spacecraft. To say nothing of the wreckage of the Agrius serving as the setting for the Keeper of the Lake.

    So yeah, there is already airship dungeons in the game, you just have to actually read the Journal descriptions in the Duty Finder and take note of what is actually being said in cutscenes.

    Technically again we already have that too - as I understand it the Sea of Clouds and the Churning Mists were both designed with FFXI's Tu'lia in mind as a reference (one such hint is in the Blue Window area of the Sea of Clouds in the form of the Groundskeeper enemies - in FFXIV these are simply golem type enemies covered in moss, but in FFXI they were 'doll' type enemies, but they still looked similar. So yeah, once again we already have something similar to what you're describing in FFXIV.
