So.. could we not have the pregame wait period for frontline and the afk kicker time overlap exactly (2 mins)? Maybe stagger it by 10-30 seconds, or not start the afk kick timer until the game actually starts? That would be swell.

I second this. "Oh, match doesn't start for a few minutes, let me go grab a drink."
*Kicked for afk and locked out from DF for 30 minutes*
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Don't be afk at the start of the match. You are putting your team at a disadvantage just by having them be short a person or more for the first engagement, which is a big deal.
No, it's not a big deal. It's just a video game.
Maybe someone is at the door, maybe you need to use the restroom suddenly, or as already stated maybe they want to go grab a drink (which is reasonable).
Two minutes afk is not long enough. Last night I was playing with some friends and the pizza guy was at the door. I stepped away just long enough to go pay him, put the pizza down in the kitchen, and come back to the game (and I don't live in a big house). I come back and I'm booted for afk, locked out for 30 minutes. Not cool.
Timer needs to be longer than two minutes. I say five minutes should be fine, and no lockout timer unless the person left the game by choice.
Why are you queuing for a match that takes 15 minutes when you have pizza on the way? No, just manage your time better. You cannot expect your entire team to be down X amount of people for 5 minutes. Every second counts in FL, and yes it is a game but play to win or don't play at all.No, it's not a big deal. It's just a video game.

exactly. its not a big deal, so you won't mind one bit if you get a 30min lockout for being afk ... after all ... you know its just a game and you can just wait for the next queue pop. 30 minutes you can take to enjoy that pizza.
That's what I thought, too.
Once you accept a queue, don't go AFK. Not even during the waiting period. If you need to go AFK, expect to deal with the consequences.
Just become better at managing your time and you shouldn't have this problem enough to where it bothers you.
Yeah, ya'll make a good point. So that's true, I could have managed my time better in that situation.
But I still think 5 minutes is more reasonable to give a person the chance to go use the restroom or something. Either that, or at least don't apply the 30 minute lockout if you were removed due to AFK. If you left on your own, then yes apply the lockout.
You can always go use the restroom before you Q up and do everything else before you Q up... hell order your pizza and wait for it to get there and Q up afterwards. 5 mins is just waaaaayyy too longYeah, ya'll make a good point. So that's true, I could have managed my time better in that situation.

Not everyone's body is the same. Sometimes a person doesn't know they need to go until they need to go.
If 5 minutes is too long then like I said at least don't apply the 30 minute lockout.
