The 'pull' mechanic does not need to be changed. It is working as intended. Which is to say, if you find it, and do enough damage (well actually generate enough +emn) you get credit. So there is no reason to make it so mobs are immune for 'x amount of time' ...and this by the way, even if implemented would solve nothing. People would STILL whine about pull times, and STILL whine about getting there too late and STILL whine about solo players/groups who honestly find said B ranks and pull them w/o announcing to the server the mob is up. All it would do is postpone the complaints for 3 minutes.

With the rewards hunt offer you can't sit here and tell me SE did not predict that hunts would get far more attention then what they designed it for.

We're talking about a company who still views their player base as their seemingly ~100k active subscription expectations at launch. About a company that actually thought that the player base would behave and not abuse their inaction to 3rd party use. A company that did not predict RMT to be so prevalent (despite previous access to knowledge of how they ruled XI at one point). People that actually believed Magicked Stable Brooms requiring Glazenuts AND Broombush for a consumable item to be affordable and realistic for players to acquire at the speed that is needed to maintain, while simultaneously thinking they'd magically acquire feed for the birds... when the significant majority are limited to S size housing, so 1 garden patch. Need I go on with it?

So yeah, I'd say it's perfectly reasonable to think they did not predict it to be as dominant as it is.

I'm sorry I still blame SE for bad planning/implementation. You can't tell me they didn't see this (Hunts) coming like they didn't see 2.0 launch to be as huge as it was and wasn't ready for that either. I know I know... there are people that will always defend SE's actions but someone needs to take accountability. I keep hearing it is the players fault because we screamed we wanted more open world content. I feel they want to try to keep everything barbaric simplified allowing little complex/diversity that it just backfires in their face. Instead of aiming to please a portion of the player base they just end up pissing just about everyone off. Also avoiding to take action besides raising HP of Hunt monsters is just lazy. I'm actually shocked they were able to pull anything like hunts in regards how tiny the world is even if you took the warp points out. SE wants to keep things theme parked instanced I am surprised they didn't make these instanced.

On a side note (puts on flame armor) FFXI seemed to fine tune Wildkeeper Reives. You use a form of currency to buy a KI. You travel open world to battleground instanced area. Everyone gets currency, exp, from timed evaluations based on actions through out the fight which affects rewards to a degree also. There is still RNG involved in what treasures drop via crafting, upgrades, armor, weapons, accessories but not to the degree where you can't get a item. Side quests were also placed if a specific item you wanted didn't drop you would have a alternative way of getting it. I understand that Hunts rewards are seals but same concept.
Lastly, I only mentioned FFXI as a reference because of a working system and SE should use their resources from working ideas instead of slapping poor content and shoving it down our throats.

No butt hurt here I don't even log on let alone do hunts. Passes the butt hurt creme back to you. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings.. In fact I was hoping I would get a generic lazy response like this. Yea cool concept on just avoiding content because it sucks and no one forcing you do it... That is AWESOME!

If they really were meant to be taken by 1-8 people, Bs and As would simply be made claimable so that other parties can't attack them.

HP and mechanics dictate the expected number of characters needed to fight them, and making the hunts "claimable" would just add to the problems that hunts currently have. Do you really want claim bots teleporting around to claim every hunt for their master before legitimate players have a chance to even see them?

Hunts are not intended to be like fates.

Bs are designed for 1-4 ppl
As are designed for full parties
Ss are designed for 2-3 full parties.

The whole mentality of they are server events is a creation of the players treating them like fates.

Hunts are not designed for 50-400 ppl to kill 1 mob. It is why hunts are not working too many people are trying to kill a single mob.

I believe this to be the case, however I also think that SE is at design fault for making them function like fates anyway. IMO, the whole thing should have had hunts phased to you and or your party but claimable to your party/alliance with outside ppl being able to help for reduced rewards. Think levequests, you pick up a few elite hunt targets, and set out to go spawn them by condition or find them. There wouldn't be the mass phase hopping there is now nor the need for competition but would still suit the same core purpose possibly even better than the current version.
