    leves aren't instanced, they're phased (meaning the stuff for it only shows up to the player/party with the leve, though it only does this til mobs are attacked then they become visible to anyone nearby). If they were instanced you wouldn't see the people in zones doing them at all.

    I disagree, it does have the affect of removing the competitive aspect of hunting NMs but as far as having open world content I think it still gets the job done. Thats sortof like suggesting that quests are not open world content and are instanced because they only affect the person doing the quest. As someone who hates having everything instanced I personally would be completely fine with levequest style hunts.

    My absolute favorite solution to the hunts that I would lol so hard over:

    Trance mode/Panic mode for the mob. Like a fight or flight response most animals have in nature.
    If over, say, 48 people are on the mob's aggro table, it gets a massive attack buff (2-3x damage) and near invulnerability until the number of people on the aggro list falls below the threshold or a timer (30 seconds or so) runs out on it.
    When the timer runs out on it, and people keep pouring onto it, it simply flees and "vanishes", going to a different random area with the same non-recoverable HP pool.

    Animals act like this when cornered. Why wouldn't apex-predators and masters of survival and combat?

    doing leves is like entering any trial whenever you want and you always get whatever you want

    thats boring as hell and destroys the purpose of open world content



    the best solution would be just to implement more hunt mobbs or decrease their respawn time to maybe 15 min B , 1 hour A, 4-8 hours S, drastically decrease the myth and seal rewards, dont let them drop logs anymorre and let the first group claim it, that noone else can kill it

    there would be enough hunts for every group and noone would cry anymore

    Who says you could do it whenever you want? It would be fairly easy to have the hunt board offer say, 3-5 elite hunts at a time with new ones cycled in every hr all random picked with the rarity of the hunt being proportionate to the timed spawn you have now. Ex 3-5 hunt marks per hr, say 3 are B rank 2 are A rank and you might see an S rank show up every 4-8 hrs on the board. You pick up the mark, it then allows you to hunt that nm. You follow the mark to the zone for your nm and go hunting, possibly having to meet a condition (not unlike what we have now) to make your hunt spawn. It still keeps an element of randomness and rarity to the open world interaction, and keeps the theme of hunting while also making fights less zerg oriented. I also don't care about people "crying" as you put it, I just think the system could be done better and that under the current method its just zerg fights which do little to spice up the open world imo (and we already have fates doing this).

    noone ever again would cry about ppl who dont wait, everyone could be able to see the marks everytime, the server wouldnt nearly crash if a S pops and 500 ppl show up, everyone would get marks and everyhthing would be fine


    edit: and maybe let them depop after some minutes of claiming, that noone is able to sell the group invite for kill ;D

    You serious? that would make hunts MORE problematic, claimable by one group would basically turn into old FFXI where the most childish drama will ensure, you think people arguing in shouts is bad now, wait till people start bringing out tools to "out claim, yea, terrible idea.

    Wait, you are serious with that post? or am i being trolled here. Seems pretty fishy to me to suggest something this chaotic.

    there are 17 maps with Marks, enough for 136 player hunting at the same time without having competition, and even if there are only 2 groups per map everyone would get more then enough marks, if you give them like 5 to 10 min repawn times

    tell me where that would be chaotic
