This mount.. needs to happen

I was so very much hoping this thread wouldn't happen. I knew it was inevitable, but a small part of me hoped people would be content enough not to ask. Hopes dashed. I don't want this mount to become a thing. I really don't. Events are far and few so taking part should be this special thing, and the event mount is one of those special things that should stay special. The moment you release it to the wilds of the player population, it stops being special. And when it stops being special, then nothing is special (about it).

Changing a carpet to a wreath seemed to be 'the straw' for alot of Legacy players in regards to the gobbue. I, for one, welcomed the new gobbue because it meant the last hurdle to getting off Legacy servers had finally been cleared. But what do I know. /em rubs Legacy tattoo absently.

Append: Ended that a bit empty... the difference here is that the goldfish elbst isn't available outside of the event. Thus it is a special mount versus the gobbue, which actually was available (albeit for a short-ish time). This distinction makes a world of difference.

It's a goldfish elbst, of course it looks better... also this sentiment of want for it seems to be a Western one as I can't find anyone talking about it on the Japanese forums, though there is one thread asking for a watermelon splitting mini-game.

Yes please I would like this mount, I was upset when I found out I couldn't take this mount home with me, why must you tease your fan base with a cool looking mount and yet not let us have it? So cruel SE.
