So I can't enter the Casting Call contest?

Due to the size of the PNGs we’ve been receiving, we’ve decided to only accept JPG and GIFs for the remainder of the entry period; however, if you’ve already submitted a PNG it will still be accepted. We just ask that any images submitted from here on out are in either GIF or JPG format.

Thank you for the clarification. If it's file size that you're worried about, then I suggest making a size limit per file. Also, if the rules are changed mid-contest, then there should be a note saying why.

It seems that the wording found in the contest details on the Lodestone is a bit misleading and confusing, so I would like to clarify about the required image resolution and sizes.

The wording is now: "Image must be at least 1024 pixels tall or wide, or 1280 pixels tall or wide." This is even more confusing now. Maybe something's missing? Perhaps it should read: "Image must be at least 1024 pixels tall or wide, and at most 1280 pixels tall or wide."

I'd simply add examples, like so:

Acceptable resolutions (examples only): 1280x1024, 1280x720, 1024x768, 1024x1280
Unacceptable resolutions (examples only): 2560x1600, 1920x1080, 1600x900, 800x600

Only one side of the screenshot image needs to be between 1280 and 1024 pixels, while the other one can still be under this (ex: 900 pixels). So, even with a maximum screen resolution of 1440 x 900, you will be able to enter with no issues.

1440 isn't between 1280 and 1024, so this example doesn't really make sense. It makes sense if you crop it to 1280x900. Then again, you did say "maximum" resolution.

Also, can we get a clarification for the word "cropping"? In it's strictest sense, cropping only means chopping off parts of the picture without resizing. Are cropping and resizing both allowed? I don't see why they shouldn't be, as long as you don't do any other modifications (contrast, saturation, adding text, etc.).

This would make it easier for people who have extremely high resolutions and don't want to fiddle with retaking shots over and over to fit, or who didn't think of changing the game's resolution.
