    How do I unlock Desynthesis?

    I seem to be able to find a lot of guides on the matter, but I can't figure out how to actually unlock Desynthesis. I have WVR up to lvl 50 but all others are sub 30 at present. Any advice would be appreciated.

    There's a quest in Ul'dah that you have to do. It's given by one of the merchants in the shop area. I can't remember the name of the quest or quest-giving NPC...
