I agree with you Alexia but i swear somewhere they said they was gonna restrict the armory system more.

I think this is it right here Alexia posted by Battle Genius him self:
    Armoury System

    Classes

Actions will undergo major revisions, along with both the underlying mechanics and conditions.

By major revisions, not only do we mean the tweaking of effects and potency of existing actions - we will work from the ground up to redesign and reassign actions based on clearly identified class roles.

We will also make a number of changes as part of our reexamination of how actions are equipped and the character requirements for doing so. First, actions learned by each class will be set to the action bar by default when playing as that class. Also, we will be making some actions settable on any class, while other "class-defining" actions obtained at higher ranks will be usable only by that class.
I think that right there sums up your fears. It seems like a lot of tier 2 version will get locked out or something idk, but something else is gonna be done to cross classing skills.(Also he is not referring to jobs if that's what some are thinking, jobs had a different paragraph to explain them~)
    Hope this was helpful~

This game is never going to be perfectly balanced because SE released it too early without any specific plans for the future role of classes and jobs in battle. Square isn't going to undo what so many loyal fans have worked so hard to earn, so we're gonna be stuck with an unbalanced game. It's not the new team's fault, it's the old team's fault.

@OP it's not forcing anyone to do anything. He built a powerful character himself, and the road is open to all. It's the perfect reward for his time.

Id have to agree with that. He put in more time and effort than some others around him and what he put in, he got back is all. To say that his effort is due to 'a crack in the armoury system'.........>.>

Unless you have seen one of these super tanks in action then you can't really understand how over powered it is. Yes he was a very skilled player, probably the best I have seen so far in FFXIV and yes he should be rewarded but should he really be that far infront.

This leads to a huge problem with balancing content, who do they make it for? Do they make it for the super tanks which means unless you have access to all these skills you will not be able to complete, or do they make it for the guy who only wants to play GLA and has invested all his time in getting GLA to cap and mastering the skills available to it. If they go down that road then Mr. Super Tank will just walk through that content like it's on easy mode.

As it is at the minute if your the person who invested your time playing GLA, getting it to cap and learning to use the skills available to you, then your about to get a huge slap in the face when trying to complete the dungeon as main tank.

Ur argument has no backbone whatsoever... they made a game and put all the tools there for everyone to take advantage of.. its no ones fault u choose to play the game a certain way and they do not need to accomadate to that.

Why would they need to make a game one way and just because people are lazy they have to add ezmode content just cause you dont want to play the game they made at full potential?

Oh to answer your question they make the game for players who they expect to use all that is available to them to enjoy the game at its fullest

Thats like saying classes that participate in HNM or endgame content are broken cause they have better gear that they took time to farm................

Besides... alot of the content out now ARE clearable. Maybe not at a super fast pace but a decent class can get the job done assuming you got the minimum skills to pull it off. (attention, aggro, etc) Even that Bataal boss. Just because you see the few LSs and groups that like to make their success public doesnt mean the success is limited to them. For example the NA LS/PTs will post their wins as much as they can on the public forums. The JP dont post these publicly but more on their blogs. So you see a multitude of the last boss win pics in their blogs as well as the strats there. You dont know about it nor hear about it unless you know where to look, are friends with them, or stumble upon it by chance. What you see as superb might actually be pretty common elsewhere you know what i mean?

You know I've always though that cross class skills should cost more than native skills. This would cut down on some of the overpowerness of certain classes that can cherry pick some really good skills and then make that 1 super powered class. This way you have to think about your situation and whats you can put in; adds another layer of strategy in my opinion.

As a Lancer r50 only i died against anything.

As i ranked up every other class and started getting traits (PUG, ARC) my Lancer became much more formidable.

Also, things like adding stats to VIT and eating VIT / DEF food like Knights Bread helps Lancer survive.
