So votekick >abuse< is practically allowed?

To me this sounds like everything someone has to say is "(s)he had a different playstyle" when kicking for whatever reason.

People who join a duty as partly groups can kick whoever they want without a real danger of facing any kind of punishment.

You want that Syrcus Tower item, but the random player with the same class might need on it in case it drops? -> "Sorry, we dont like how you play" and kicked before the bossfight starts.


And just to clear things up, the reason I was kicked for had nothing to do with "different playstyles", the GM just put it in that category...

vote kick ban shouldnt be allowed in any DF instances, only PTs should be allowed to ban and even them with the true reasons. Although I am against it as a tool de per se.

Last night in Syrcus Tower we had one guy that went immediately afk as soon as we entered and another two that went afk during the first boss fight (one was sitting at the edge of the arena, the other was auto-running against a wall).

I got kicked from my expert roulette yesterday because I didn't know that using Shadowflare would be an issue on the first boss of Tam Tara HM, lol. WOOPS. Sure I've been clearing second coil for close to 3 months, but I've only done TT HM once or twice and never on SMN.

I knew to let the boss aoe attack kill the adds. But bad on me for not knowing that my Shadowflare may be strong enough to kill the adds. They could have just explained that, I think? But eh, not losing sleep over it.

Can't say I've ever really found myself abusing the vote kick and haven't seen too many others do it either. I recall it happening more in the original CT, but in Syrcus Tower I haven't encountered as many trolls.

Man some say my friend is a "toxic" player but whenever I run Tam-Tara HM with her and people hit adds with Shadowflare etc we just say "Pls don't hit adds". We've never once kicked anyone for that lol.

Ya I just got called a leech and kicked from an ST pt about 30 minutes ago. It was the first time I have been kicked from an instance. The reason: I was having lag issues and had to reset my router. Guess that is no longer permissible lol. I usually give someone at least 5-10 minutes to come back from a reset, these things happen.

there are other 23 people doing that CT, one down doesnt really make any difference, in my opinion. I prefer by far doing any of the instances even with two people down, then seeing what I see on a daily basisa, DAILY basis, aka abuse of the kick vote...which out of 100 I may vote 1 or 2 YES, the rest is plain abuse...PLAIN abuse.... also, and this to be clear, I dont play FOR the otehrs, I play WITH the others, each are responsible of their own actions, if I dont like it I will leave..and take the penalty I personallyd ont see a problem with that.

If peopel were more responsible when using that tool, it would just be THE tool, but as it is, people arent mature enough to handle an adult tool, since, to be fair, we have many playing here that are NOT adults, although adults are often teh worst person, as my daughter once told me

How do you know it is deliberate ? perception is often misleading. I may simply be that the person is trying out others ways OR just not playing the way you play....see my point ? when you let a tool to the *perception* rather then facts it leads often to abuse...not to mention the...*sheep mentality* worst by far of all

If they are playing differently because they want to, and it's holding the group backl, it's deliberate. ESPECIALLY if you talk to them about it. You've been on this kick for quite a while now. But a person does not have to be directly intending to mess up the group, to be causing a problem worthy of a kick. They are choosing not to change to help the group, they are choosing to stay the same and keep causing problems. Even if causing problems isn't their intent, they are still doing it.

So by that logic, whenever I'm in DF, I should be forced to deal with a tank that doesn't use their emnity-producing skills such as Provoke, Flash and Overpower? And all that they are doing is just going through their combo because it's all shiny? Or, should the party have to be stuck with a healer who doesn't heal? Or that damage dealer that does nothing but auto-attack? What if I've got a tank-bot or heal-bot? They don't perform effectively, but according to your logic I should have to be stuck with them. Yeah, no thanks. While abuses of the vote kick system can, does, and will happen, I would rather have it for the greater good.
