Leon, a character of Final Fantasy 2. First time i ever even heard of the job/ class Dark Knight, which would come to be my favorite class in this my most favorite of game series.

Auron from FFX is my choice.
He's strong, protective, and extremely intelligent. He lives to protect others. My firstborn son is actually named Auron after him![]()
"Be Excellent to Each Other..."
PSN: PGS_CodeCass
Balthier, bar none.
"Let me show you how it's done..."
Yeah, Balthier. <3
This was a toughie. First that popped into my head was Balthier, then I was all "but Cecil for the nostalgia!" Cecil was emo. Zidane, omg <3 He's not emo! So I was gonna put Zidane. Then... but Freya... she's so cool... and mopey. Sigh. So, yeah, Balthier. <3 Cait Sith is also realllly up there. ><'
Zell Dincht
Locke Cole. Always.
Selphie Tilmitt, Squall Leonhart and Celes Chere close runner ups. (though it really depends on what day you ask me.. yesterday may have been Squall xD )

He also had the cutest romantic side story with the librarian girl.
His dream was to become a knight in service of a queen. He was the first gay character I can remember in a FF game. His superiority complex was simply masking his feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness. He never wanted to be the bad guy, though. Edea/Ultimecia had promised him a world where he would be accepted. He simply bought into the lie. By the time he came to his senses, he realized he was in too deep, so he decided to just go along with it. He couldn't see a way out of the mess he'd created. Squall saved him.Seifer from FFVIII
A great story behind Seifer that led to a lot of complex interpersonals in the game. Fujin and Raijin's relationship with Seifer fed into his ego and his superiority complex, but despite his best efforts he was never able to become the leader that he wanted to be because of his self-sabotaging attitude. He gets extremely complex almost immediately in the game (Timber TV station) as he throws himself into the service of Edea (whether under spell or not). As he seems to remember who he is he embraces his role as her lap-dog, and re-envisions himself as her "Knight," an elite guard for what he sees is the future ruler of the world.
After finally having admit to himself that he is incapable of leading, he still has a begrudging relationship of some form of respect between himself and Squall, which plays out really nicely in the various encounters in the game (won't spoil it if you haven't finished).
I personally wish he would have died in the Lunatic Pandora battle because him staying alive and getting to just chill with Raijin and Fujin after trying to basically destroy the world is kind of wonky - but you can't have it all : D
It was the characters that made FF 8 such an amazing game. The story was a mess, but the characters themselves were so profoundly relate-able.

Delita Hyral!
(If we can't include Tactics, then Edgar Figaro)
Terra Branford
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
