*like the above posters stated, this is pure speculation*
I just have a hard time believing this part. True enough, Philosophy tomes were removed from the game in 2.2, but I just don't see them removing Mythology tomes with 2.4. It hasn't been stated that they will (if it has forgive me, I haven't seen it), and Mythology tomes have the iconic job-related AF and relic enhancement tied to them. In short, Mythology tomes serve a much larger purpose in FFXIV then Philosophy tomes ever did. I seriously doubt Myth AF gear is going to start dropping in dungeons like the Darklight does now, and I know you can get the gear with Allied Seals but I don't envision SE keeping that method as the only way to get them.
If they remove Myth tomes, then you would have two types of gear attainable via Soldiery tomes? 9 more crafting mats via GC? Wouldn't make sense for the crafting mats to be bought with soldiery, because *assuming we are following the same path* there will be new crafting mats attainable via Soldiery for new crafting recipes. Radz-at-han Oil having its currency changed again, and changing the most iconic process of original relic enhancement (Thavnairian Mist x3) to a different tome? Some of us had to dedicate 3 weeks just for that first i90 weapon alone. Animus books/Sphere scroll/Alexandrite maps now bought with Soldiery?
I could be wrong, but it doesn't make much sense to me for them to get rid of Myth altogether.
