[suggestion] let us do something with excess XP

Most of us have been 50 for quite a while, and when doing some of the older content, like beast tribe quests or some levequests, it seems like the xp is getting wasted. I think it would be awesome if you could build up individual points, like FC points as you get XP, and then use that XP for similar buffs to yourself, the same way you do with FC buffs. You build up IP (individual points) and then can spend some of it on a 5% exp bonus for fighting / crafting / chocobo xp / retainer xp bonus / spirit bond increase / crafting bonuses / gathering bonuses / reduced teleport costs. If you wanted to limit it, you could say that a similar FC buff and a IP buff don't stack, that only one would work, similar to how you can't have both tiers. That way if your FC wanted to spend their FC buffs on spirit bond increase, but you wanted to level one of your gathering classes, you could use your IP the bonuses that you want.

At the very least it would be great if any EXP i gain on a level 50 job at cap, gets used to boost the bonus rested exp gauge (even at a rate of 10:1 or 100:1 would be fine)

I'm not asking for implementing XI's Merit Point Equivalent just yet, but a rested exp increase from capped exp would be a minimum.

Still, in the future, i'd be more than welcoming to say... gathering 1 mil EXP in exchange for a free stat point increase we get to distribute.

It does seem like an awful waste, and it feels better heading toward something at least...

I hate that sensation of lost opportunity when I get awarded large amounts of exp. Very unpleasant. It just seems like there's gotta be something they could give us to do with the excess...

I'd say they store them up then allow to spend them on your lower tier classes(but at a reduced rate depending on class(similar to how challange log will give you 10% of exp for current class)... Just allow to reuse wasted exp that way.
