    Leveling advice

I have started leveling a healer however I'm curious as to which is a better way to level. Dungeon grinding or questing. Reason I mainly ask is because as I'm sure everyone knows healers have instant queues and with quests left it makes it much easier to level a DPS character.

So is it faster for grinding dungeons and doing main storyline quest or questing?

As you get higher in levels, you'll find your queues getting less and less instant, though still better than DPS. So take advantage of the instant queues while you can. And when they start to taper off, throw in some fates and leves while you're waiting.

Questing is probably still faster, depending on the quality of the parties you get. A good deal of how well dungeons work for leveling depends on the speed & experience of the people you end up with. But as you said, questing is much more helpful for DPS. And since most of the quests you get (that aren't just travel & cutscene) boil down to "kill 10 hoozits," questing is also generally (a bit) faster with a DPS than with a healer.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

    Personally (41 WHM right now)
Dungeons are the way to go in my opinion. As a healer we can hold our own solo, yet do so much better in groups. Questing will be slower as healer than DPS or Tank roles.
Yet the Dungeon ques are quite short for us. Like Bixby says: Take advantage of it.

Especially on low levels the que is near instant. At around level 30 it starts slowing down a bit but still well worth queing (1-10 mins on average).

We are made for healing and we do not do well when we have aggro. Especially not with multiple targets. Sleeping the targets helps a lot though. (Chocobo tank might help a bit).

Not to mention the gear we get in dungeons is usually superior to most crafted/store bought gear.

It's also good training for end game. With PUG groups you might get a great group; but you might also get the worst group ever. Either way both teach you how to fulfill your role better for endgame

    Hi,

Apologies for raising the dead here but I recently got my WHM to fiddy and felt I could share my experience. Duty, duty duty. I would start off with Guildhest roulette, then work my way up. All roulette first. Get them bonuses. Then I would Q for the two highest duties I could. If no pop right away I would work on quests, hunt log, etc. There is also that handy challenge log now. Nice XP bonuses there too.

After that I would just run dungeons. Take a break and go to my higher alts for other runs to gather gear for my WHM when he dinged.

Once I hit 44 it was Darkhold all the way after roulette's were done. Fiddy in no time.

    GL to you.
