When you get right down to it, different people have different ideas of what they consider "need" for a piece of gear. Some people may want low level gear to equip on a low level class they are leveling. Others may want the gear for desynthing, GC seals, glamour, spirit bonding, or in some cases just to sell. Who is to say that one person's need is greater than another person's? When you get right down to it, it's arrogant to think that your individual rules for handling loot should be followed by everyone else, especially in the duty finder. In the case of the OP, those players had absolutely no right to kick him for utilizing his "need" lot. He had the right to the "need" button and hit it. His purposes for hitting the "need" button are irrelevant.
