I mean, I can see why people would find it bad taste, since you're probably an i8999 WAR rolling need on a level 16 or so item, basically no tangible use for the gear and probably would have been better off greeding. So it's more of a "Why?" Not really against any rules but the 'unwritten rules.'

Anyway, I read some posts here, some players confirmed GM always response to "loot dispute" ,
so I think you may emphasize that was an loot dispute while reporting.

Btw, personally I don't agree GM wasting time on such matters, however, many players confirmed GM do, even do responding in 4hr. ^^;

I don't agree with the "rolling on gear you "don't need"(in someone else's opinion) is bad manners" argument. Unless you ALL agree to rules before starting a raid or dungeon, there are none other than what's already been put in place by the game. QQing, insulting, ragging, moaning, feeling entitled to loot that you can't need on and all around being a bad person over the subject is bad manners IMO.

I think these forums need to start an unwritten rule sticky. Need is need no matter the reason. When the i100 healers grabs all the healing drops from cutters that I tried to get I will know where to link them to the RULES. Thank you for your help.

I've done the same thing. Running on WAR rolling Need on tank gear for my PLD. You were wrongly kicked, but you're a tank. Laugh in their faces as you instantly requeue.

They were definitely in the wrong, but I can sympathise with them.

When I was new to the game (back when it first came out), it was unbelievably frustrating as a DRG in Brayflox's Longstop.
The gear that is for Dragoons (scale) was almost always "needed" by tanks.
I never got a single piece of gear from that place when I first started playing.

So, while I can understand their frustrations, they are a bunch of total [expletives] for dismissing you over it.

While I can understand your frustrations, I also think you are a bit of a [expletive] for "needing" it. And that's only because as a DRG, I went through that same frustration at lvl 32-35

Oh... and pre-level 50 HQ crafted gear are generally way better in stats too. Even noob crafter will have easier time to HQ stuff. Plus, they are faster to spiritbond too. Dungeon drops are generally take longer to spiritbond.

If someone does really need it, that's what chat logs are for. You can type right? Ask nicely if you can loot the item. If you're mute, it's your fault if you don't get what you want. PS3/PS4 have no excuse for hard to type on controller. Buy cheap USB keyboard and plug em in. And if you're even too lazy to talk, this is MMO: Your mute, your loss.

If you need it, for any reason, then you should need on it. That is why they have need or greed in my opinion. I need for desynthesis and seals all the time. I am only doing runs nowadays for those reasons. If I fill a needed role so people can complete a duty they need, wtf should I greed on something I am doing the run for? Other people are there to level or get tomes and gear and complete the duty and they would usually NEED if the item was for their current job.

Some people look at me a little strange when I need against another smn for titan book, but that other smn just got his relic because I helped kill that titan anyways, so why should I not need it? You did the right thing needing for items you wanted to use. You also did the right thing reporting them. GMs are doing much better at policing DF these days (just saw a trio in a FC suspended for locking themselves out in ST and telling the alliance to do it without them if they could). The more people getting talked to for this crap, the less likely people are to think they can do it too.

And they aren't? Once you decide to turn it in for seals or desynth, the item ceases to be for your chosen role in that dungeon. Those other people in the group may very well "need" the item for seals/desynth JUST as much as you. Again, as I said in an earlier post, I won't tell you how to roll, I'll just leave and choose not to play with you. But it is total and utter selfishness. And you'd be a fool to think otherwise.
