Proposal: Lower or Remove Mark Requirement for Gear

A set of i100 gear costs 93k marks.

Sane people will probably only fill out the armor and weapon first, and leave acc for later (or buy lower ilvl ones), this is more like 60K Marks.

You can buy 2 full glamor sets of i100 pvp gear with the 30-40 grind. i've been grinding non stop from rank 1 since mid july and have the full birdsong glamor set + the wep. I'm now rank 35 and just completed the wolfseye set and am now working on the lion set which i expect to have before i hit rank 40.

I guess it sucks if you capped out your rank before the i100 gear was added. but if you haven't and your lvling now then you'll have a full set before you can even wear it.

I think its fine the way it is atm but then again I'm not leveling and gearing alternate accounts (never did understand the point of that.

For me its just an aethestics thing. Some players just like to level up different races for the animations or because they just love more than one race. I know that was the case for me when I leveled up a Lala and Miqote and grinded the SCH pvp sets for both. Sometimes I heal on my Lala and otheres on my Miqote.

It is easier to get marks now, sure, but it still takes a ridiculous amount of PvP to gear up an alt class in the appropriate gear.

Well if you don't want to put time into PvP you shouldn't have PvP rewards. As a person that only plays this game for it's pvp I would say I cannot agree with you on this as stupid easy already to get your gear. It's like 600+ marks for a win and 400+ for 2nd maybe 300 marks for a 3rd. If they lower the cost or remove the marks I want them to hand me high allagan gear so I can use it for glamour cause I don't want do 2nd coil.

I guess it's not really that the rewards are too low, but rather the time commitment is too high. Most of this stems from the fact that you have to wait in a FL queue for anywhere from 10 - 50 minutes to get in a game on my DC unless you are flames. Fixing the queues in both FL and WD could alleviate this issue as well.

You want the items you put in the time for them. If it's that bad then play 1 class and don't worry about other classes.

You quote me and then you mention glamour. What does glamour have to do with this discussion at all?

It has nothing to do with glamours that's just what I would do with the high allagan gear. The point I am making is if they just start handing out pvp gear I want them to hand out high allagan for those that can't / don't want to raid
