Do you like Final Fantasy music? Try these.

I'm gonna snag a few songs from various Final Fantasy albums with different styles, ect.. Check em out if the name interests you. :3 Keep in mind some of these will be remakes/covers and not the original song however they will be from official albums.

Also I will try and keep them in order according to games.

    title: White Room
    artist: Hitoshi Sakimoto

    FF game: Final Fantasy XII
note: Very emotional. With the visual event the game placed on you with this song, it was very sad.

NOTE: This is where FFXIII will start. I will stress this series and display a lot fo songs. Not only because each song is awesome but because many people skip this series and the great music included.

    title: The Archylte Steppe
    artist: Masashi Hamauzu
album: Final Fantasy XIII - Original Soundtrack
    FF game: Final Fantasy XIII
note: By far my favorite classical piece in this series. Might be the fact that the region in the game fit it so perfectly(sometimes it's all about presentation).

artist: Nobuo Uematsu(unsure, confirm for yourself..)

Mind if I contribute some of my favorites?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNpM8IAfPBA

    Title: Castle Pandemonium
    Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
Album: Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls OST
    Game: Final Fantasy II
Note: Easily my favorite final dungeon theme in the entire Final Fantasy franchise and definitely one of the most memorable. It captures so much of what's going on in the story at the time this music is playing. The Emperor has captured the Throne of Hell and it is up to you to put an end to his rule!
Fun Fact: Final Fantasy IX's "Pandemonium" is actually this very song at 50% speed, making it sound darker and more ominous to better fit the tone of that game.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5JVevDDiUs

    Title: Battle Scene 2
    Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
Album: Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls OST
    Game: Final Fantasy II
Note: One of the two best battle themes of the NES era Final Fantasy games. I always found this theme to have such fantastic amount of both gravitas and nobility while still being high enough tempo to constitute a boss theme.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtrJoV31xOw

    Title: The Cloud of Darkness
    Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
Album: Final Fantasy III DS OST
    Game: Final Fantasy III
Note: The second of the two best battle themes of the NES era Final Fantasy games. The original was good, but this theme pays homage to the original by constantly phasing in and out between 8-bit-inspired chiptune and full-blown symphonics.
Fun Fact: With the entirety of Crystal Tower being put into FFXIV, a remix of this song will very likely be played during the boss fight against The Cloud of Darkness in Patch 2.5.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rz2_by51DU4

    Title: Moogle Village
    Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
    Album: Final Fantasy V OST
    Game: Final Fantasy V
Note: To fit in with the demeanor of the moogles, this song is very upbeat, cheery, and almost silly in its construction.
Fun Fact: This is the first appearance of the Moogle theme song. Variations of the song can be heard all across the Final Fantasy universe, such as in FFVII during the "Mog House" minigame, FFIX at Mognet Central, and most familiarly to all of you, is actually the melody behind the theme of the boss battle against Good King Moogle Mog XII!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRAdT3aCOSY

    Title: Ancient Library
    Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
    Album: Final Fantasy V OST
    Game: Final Fantasy V
Note: This song is the "Lavender Town" of Final Fantasy music. It's almost inappropriately creepy for when the song is played, and has often been made the butt of jokes for that very reason. Though it does make me hope for an Ancient Library dungeon in 3.X if only so we can hear what a remix of this theme might be... and so we can have a shot at fighting Byblos.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezaH5sgUcMU

    Title: Wind Shrine
    Artist: Nobuo Uematsu
    Album: Final Fantasy V OST
    Game: Final Fantasy V
Note: Definitely a relic of the time, but it is one of my favorite dungeon themes of all time. It's very rhythmic, almost like footsteps climbing up a tower. Wouldn't you agree?

(That's it from me for now.)

    I'll post my favorite. ^^

    Title: Waltz for the Moon
Artist: Nobuo Uematsu (Remake by BitSymphony)
    Album: Final Fantasy VIII OST
    Game: Final Fantasy VIII
Note: The song from Final Fantasy VIII's most famous scene, the dance scene.

I was really disappointed that FF14 didn't have a moment like this, where you just forget the world is out to get you for a bit. :P I mean even our own personal feast was set up by ourselves in preparation for fighting Titan. lol. BitSymphony makes some great remakes of all kinds of FF songs, so check out his other work if you get a chance. ^^

Title: Gold Saucer (Beer SQ Remix)
    Original Composer: Nobuo Uematsu
Remixed by: Elequesta of Tabla (obviously a pen name)
    Album: Beer SQ
    Game: Final Fantasy VII

I always listen to this when I'm just wasting time, like for a DF Queue as DPS or a FATE for an Animus book, while /sdancing.

    Edit:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJSqlkX5tEc

    Title: Stone Drum (Cyan)
    Original Composer: Nobuo Uematsu
    Remixer: Radiowar
Album: Final Fantasy VI: Balance and Ruin

Just simply awesome. Probably gonna have this on repeat when they release Samurai and I do the class and job quests.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmoLL9TMmC4

    Title: A Fistful of Nickels
    Original Composer: Nobuo Uematsu
Remixer(s): Zircon, XPRTNovice, Jillian Aversa, and Jeff Ball
Album: Final Fantasy VI: Balance and Ruin (again)

Who knew Shadow was secretly a Spaghetti Western cowboy underneath all that black cloth? But seriously, another awesome one, and likely what I'll be listening to during the Ninja job quests.

In the end, Evangela has the right of it. We all know there's plenty of awesome official FF music, why not try out some of the fan stuff?

If there's one thing that the XIII trilogy excelled in, was the superb music through all 3 games. I'm glad to see someone else agree with me.
